    Abstract: Left side panels and right side panel are produced in a left side panel production line and a right side panel production line, respectively By vertical lifters, each left side panel and each right side panel are lifted at the delivery stations and then transferred to runners at work transfer positions. The runner with the left side panel held thereon travels along a rail while the runner with the right side panel held thereon travels along a rail. Both runners are stopped at a standby position and then conveyed to a runner transfer position simultaneously. The runners with the left and right side panels held thereon, respectively, are loaded on the traverser and then conveyed to a drop lifter arranged above a main body assembly line. The left and right side panels are transferred to the drop lifter. The drop lifter then descends and feeds the left and right side panels simultaneously on opposite sides of a floor panel in the main body assembly line.

    Abstract: An apparatus for controlling ignition timing in an internal combustion engine wherein the ignition timing is controlled such that a crank angle at which an increased rate of pressure in a cylinder is maximized coincides with a target value, e.g., an MBT point or the like. The apparatus detects an occurrence of incorrect ignition in response to a signal indicative of pressure in the cylinder and inhibits feedback control from being carried out for the ignition timing when an occurrence of incorrect ignition is detected. The crank angle, at which an increased rate of pressure in the cylinder is maximized, is calculated in response to a signal indicative of pressure in the cylinder, a reference pulse transmitted from a crank angle sensor and a pulse transmitted per 1.degree. of a crank angle of the crankshaft. The target value is set to a value by which a maximum torque is obtainable within a range where no knocking occurs.

    Abstract: An ignition timing controlling apparatus which calculates a crank angle when the pressure building-up rate in a cylinder of an internal combustion engine is the maximum, and feedback-controls an ignition timing so as to make the deviation value between the crank angle and the target value thereof be zero. The apparatus does not feedback-control in the predetermined running region where the crank angle at which pressure building-up rate in the cylinder at the time of light loading, idling and so on is the maximum is unstabilized, and ignites a plug at a basic ignition timing determined by running state of the engine as well as makes the gain of feedback-control differ from each other according to whether the deviation is in the advanced angle side or delayed angle side, and is capable of controlling ignition timing so that the maximum torque can be obtained regardless of elapsing change and dispersion in manufacturing.
