    Abstract: Proposed are a washing machine and a control method therefor, which may allow a user to safely and additionally put laundry in during the operation of the washing machine including an auxiliary door. The washing machine includes an auxiliary door through which laundry is additionally put in, indicates whether additionally putting-in of laundry during the operation of the washing machine is allowed, and enables a user to determine the same, in order to provide an algorithm for safely operating the auxiliary door, and checks a rotation of a drum, a temperature of the inside, and a level of water when it is desired to additionally put laundry in, so as to enable the user to safely put the laundry in. Also, when the user additionally puts laundry in while the washing machine performs a cycle, the washing machine changes a cycle profile for each cycle, and corrects a cycle profile according to an additional put-in point, thereby raising reliability of the user for the washing machine.

    Abstract: An active stylus that is applicable to a touch panel. The touch panel comprises driving electrodes and sensing electrodes. Each driving electrode transmits a panel driving signal. The sensing electrodes receive the panel driving signal. The active stylus comprises a receiving element receiving the panel driving signal; a sensing module obtaining signal characteristics of the panel driving signal; a signal generator generating a simulated driving signal; a driving element transmitting the simulated driving signal; and a control unit. The control unit uses the signal generator to generate the simulated driving signal, which is synchronous with and identical in phase to the panel driving signal, according to the signal characteristics of the panel driving signal. Thereby, the touch panel can distinguish the touch of an active stylus from the touch of a hand and realize a multi-point touch control function in a mutual-capacitance mode.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this invention include image-based systems and methods for detection of one or more biological molecules. A matrix has identifiable analyte-specific capture particle(s) suspended therein, not all being in the same detection plane. Analyte-specific binding moieties (e.g., antibodies) capture analytes. Analyte-specific detector molecules with conjugated detection moieties are then attached to the analyte-specific binding moiety forming particle complexes. A computer assisted, image-based detection system captures images of the particle complexes. Using different sets of analyte-specific detector molecules, each set having a characteristic identifiable feature; it is now possible to implement rapid multiplex assays of cytokines. These image-based systems can be used to aid in diagnosis of disease, evaluation of therapy for disease, or laboratory investigation.
