  • Publication number: 20070184112
Abstract: A dosage form that facilitates the controlled release of an active agent at a desired release rate or release rate profile includes a bi-layer membrane system and an osmotic core. The bi-layer membrane system includes a semipermeable membrane and an osmosensitive membrane and forms an internal compartment occupied by the osmotic core. The osmotic core includes an active agent composition and a light push layer. A passageway is formed through the bi-layer membrane system and permits expulsion of the active agent composition from the dosage form during operation. The bi-layer membrane system and the osmotic core are formulated and formed to provide controlled release of the active agent included in the active agent composition, while simultaneously facilitating increased loading of active agent within a dosage form of given dimension and increasing the delivery efficiency of such active agent relative to prior osmotic dosage forms including a push layer.

  • Patent number: 7253823
Abstract: System and methods for providing 1D and 2D connectors in a connected diagram. Routing and layout of connectors is accomplished through a pre-defined set of behaviors and properties on a connector that enable an aesthetic layout. Routing behaviors and visual look of the connectors within a diagram may be included in an XML definition file or controlled by a user. The user may switch between 1D and 2D connectors regardless of a shape of the connector. Padding and offset features are assigned to connectors for aesthetically pleasing presentation of object relations. Text box shapes and placements on or near connectors are aligned with connector type, size, and placement. Images and non-predefined shapes may be used as connectors with behaviors assigned similar to predefined shapes.

  • Patent number: 7253637
Abstract: In order to determine whether arcing is present in an electrical circuit, a sensor signal corresponding to current in said electrical circuit is processed. The sensor signal is filtered to determine the presence of noise in a predetermined frequency range and produce a corresponding filtered signal. The corresponding filtered signal is compared to a reference threshold voltage to generate an output signal potentially indicative of arcing. A selection is made of one from a plurality of available threshold voltages as the reference threshold voltage for use in the comparing operation. The detection operation supports either or both branch feeder arc fault detection and/or series arc fault detection.
