  • Patent number: 12169911
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying a personalized prior within a generative model's latent vector space based on a set of images of a given subject. In some examples, the present technology may further include using the personalized prior to confine the inputs of a generative model to a latent vector space associated with the given subject, such that when the model is tasked with editing an image of the subject (e.g., to perform inpainting to fill in masked areas, improve resolution, or deblur the image), the subject's identifying features will be reflected in the images the model produces.

  • Patent number: 12159100
Abstract: Techniques for obtaining electronic signatures via word processing applications are described. One approach utilizes a code module, also referred to as a “markup module,” that executes within a word processing application and that facilitates the preparation of a document for electronic signature. A user can operate the word processing application together with the markup module in order to add signature tag markers to the document and to provide recipient information about intended signers, such as names and email addresses. Once the document has been prepared, the code module transmits the document (including the added signature tag markers) and the recipient information to a digital transaction service. The digital transaction service then manages the signing of the document, such as by notifying the recipient, receiving the recipient's signature and securely storing the signature in association with the document.

  • Publication number: 20240372554
Abstract: Generation of a clock signal in a semiconductor integrated circuit (IC) is controlled using a Noise Modulation Agent (NMA), configured to measure the clock signal and output a parameter indicative of an effective cycle time of the clock signal. An Adaptive Frequency Scaling (AFS) circuit selectively adjusts a frequency of the clock signal, based on the output of the NMA indicating a change in a power supply voltage of the semiconductor IC.

  • Publication number: 20240354451
Abstract: Detecting the removal of a data storage device from a storage system involves first determining that a shorter pin of an electrical connector of a storage device is disconnected from a mating electrical connector, such as by sensing a voltage drop on that pin, then determining at a later time that a longer pin of the connector is disconnected from the mating connector. Responsive to determining that the longer pin was disconnected after a predetermined period of time after the shorter pin, a conclusion may be made that the storage device has been removed from the system as opposed to being subject to a simple device power aberration. Thus, responsive data destruction action(s) may be taken to render the data stored on the device inaccessible to the attacker thereby protecting the device even after the device is removed from the storage system.

  • Publication number: 20240296097
Abstract: A data storage device and method for enhanced recovery through data storage device discrete-component-hardware-reset are provided. In one embodiment, the data storage device determines that a subset of a plurality of memory dies is non-responsive, sends a request to a host to accept longer delays associated with the subset of the plurality of memory dies, power-cycles the subset of the plurality of memory dies, and then informs the host that the latency associated with those dies has been restored to normal latency or that the subset of the plurality of memory dies are inactive (in case of unsuccessful recovery). Other embodiments are possible, and each of the embodiments can be used alone or together in combination.

  • Publication number: 20240293026
Abstract: A method of determining a condition of a subject comprises receiving functional magnetic resonance (MR) data and structural MR data, each describing the brain of the subject. A subject-specific functional connectome (FC) is constructed using the functional MR data, and a subject-specific structural connectome (SC) is constructed using the structural MR data. A convolutional neural network (CNN) is fed with the subject-specific FC and SC. The CNN has a first set of layers that separately process the subject-specific FC and SC, and a second set of layers that process combined outputs from the first set of layers. An output indicative of the condition of the subject is received from the second set of layers of the CNN.

  • Publication number: 20240220138
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to creating and recalibrating zone groups. Rather than having a fixed zone group size, the zone group size can be dynamic where the data storage device provides a range of zone group sizes to a host device. Based upon block availability and host device commands, new zone groups may be formed of different sizes within the provided range. If there is an insufficient number of blocks available to create a zone group with a size within the provided range, the data storage device can recalibrate. The insufficient number of blocks may be due to bad blocks and/or fragmentation. To obtain more blocks, garbage collection can occur and/or the data storage device can request the host device to release some blocks. The dynamic zone group creation and recalibration ensures more efficient operation of the data storage device.

  • Publication number: 20240220359
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to achieving an acceptable uncorrectable bit error rate (UBER) using a dual temporary data protecting approach and a small SLC cache by adding a temporary XOR protection to zone-groups rather than storing another copy of the zone within the drive. The parity data can be stored with the user data (e.g., as part of the zone-group, effectively increasing zone-group size by 1) or in a separate location, e.g., in an SLC block or another separate MLC block.

  • Patent number: 11999543
Abstract: A wireless package-mounted sensor system to detect an opening of a package. The system may measure, at each of a plurality of sensors mounted to a plurality of different respective surfaces of the package, an orientation of the surface onto which the sensor is mounted. At least one of the sensors may be mounted to an adjustable surface intended to open the package. An open package test may be executed comprising determining a relative orientation between the sensor mounted to the adjustable surface and another of the plurality of sensors mounted to another of the plurality of different respective surfaces, and determining the package is open if the relative orientation changes from a threshold range indicating a closed state to a threshold range indicating an open state. An indication of the determination that the package is open may be wirelessly transmitting.

  • Publication number: 20240173542
Abstract: The disclosure relates to devices and methods for the treatment of edema which devices use an intravascular edema pump with an anticoagulant. The invention provides devices and methods for treating edema that use an indwelling catheter to place an impeller in a blood vessel of a patient, near an outlet of a lymphatic duct. Operating the impeller creates a local depression in blood pressure, which promotes drainage of lymph from the lymphatic system. The catheter is also used to release an anticoagulant such as heparin to wash and lubricate the impeller. Specifically, the anticoagulant inhibits clotting, hemolysis, or thrombosis from occurring and interfering with smooth operation of the impeller.
