Abstract: A method whereby advertisers wish to deliver at least one of offerings and advertising messages relative to at least one of a product and a service to a target audience of users selected by a system operator during an advertising campaign. The method includes defining the users within the context of a social network, selecting the users from among the users of the social network, storing the information relevant to the defined users and utilizing the information stored/defined within the social network to deliver the messages to the users in an optimal manner.

Abstract: An antenna arrangement for generating and receiving terahertz radiation is described. The arrangement comprises a substrate comprising a photoconductive material and a pair of electrodes provided on the photoconductive material. Each electrode includes a plurality of elongate fingers spaced apart from each other which are arranged in a parallel relation and define finger gaps therebetween. The fingers of one electrode are located within the finger gaps formed between the spaced apart fingers of another electrode so that two neighboring fingers belong to different electrodes. The fingers of each electrode have at least one protrusion extending away from lateral sides of the fingers within the finger gap.

Abstract: A method and system for prosecuting threatening IP addresses on the Internet and publishing a list of these threatening IP addresses for users to block is disclosed herein. If the IP address behaves properly according to a policy adhered to by the users, then the IP address may be paroled and removed from the list.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a spark plug comprising an insulative sleeve having a central axial bore and an exterior surface and a center electrode extending through the central axial bore of the insulative sleeve. The insulating sleeve is positioned within, and secured to, a metal shell that serves as a mounting platform and interface to an internal combustion engine. The metal sleeve also supports a ground electrode that is positioned in a spaced relationship relative to the center electrode so as to generate a spark gap. The insulating sleeve includes a shaped tip portion that resides in a recessed end portion of the metal shell. A coating is disposed on the exterior surface of the insulative sleeve. The coating comprises a silicone resin, optionally in combination with a filler.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for communicating and processing market data. The market data may comprise quotes, orders, trades and/or statistics. A messaging structure allows for adding, re-ordering and/or expanding data, within the printable character set of any language. One or more delimiters are defined and used to delimit data elements within the message structure. The data is interpreted based on templates which may be disseminated prior to the sending of messages and used as an abstraction so that the meaning of data need not be conveyed in the message.

Abstract: An endoscopic bite block, with teeth position defining regions which guide the subject's teeth to grip the bite block in their natural position, with the teeth of the upper jaw positioned further out than the lower jaw teeth. These teeth position defining regions are also preferably curved to match the curved shape of the jaw. The upper and lower parts of the front plate of the bite block may also be positioned at different distances out, so that upper and lower lip regions both contact the front plate snuggly. The bite block may be used with separate oral/nasal cannulae, or may incorporate breath sampling or gas supply cannulae. A flexible flapped curtain at the outer end of the bite block may be provided to largely enclose the inner volume of the bite block to enable more accurate capnographic sampling under conditions of wide-open mouth breathing.

Abstract: Systems. Methods, and Computer Program Products are provided for recovering transactions of failed nodes using a recovery procedure in a clustered file system (CFS). A data segment is determined that the data segment should be copied to a final storage location by validating that an ownership of the data segment is not associated with any other operational node, via a distributed shared memory (DSM) agent. The ownership of the data segment is set to a local DSM agent.

Abstract: A printing system that has a media transport system configured to transport media of differing dimensions along a media path, a printhead assembly for printing media transported along the media path, the media path having differing widths depending on the dimensions of the media and, a plurality of service modules for the printhead assembly. Each of the service modules is configured to operate in a plurality of different modes. During use, the media path extends between the printhead assembly and at least some of the service modules configured to operate in one of the modes while any of the service modules beyond the media path operate in another of the modes.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an injector device for delivering an implant, the device including a retracting element, a cannula needle, and a plunger. The device may comprise an latch that, when actuated by a user, causes the retracting element to move the cannula needle away from the delivery site, allowing the plunger to eject the implant into the site. The device may be configured for intraocular drug delivery.

Abstract: Actuator assembly includes a housing assembly, a ball screw, a ball nut, and a lock. The ball screw is rotationally mounted on and extends from the housing assembly, is coupled to receive an actuator drive torque, and is configured, upon receipt thereof, to rotate. The ball nut is rotationally supported on the ball screw and is configured, in response to rotation of the ball screw, to translate thereon between a stowed position and a deployed position. The lock is disposed at least partially within the housing assembly and is configured to move between a lock position and an unlock position. The lock prevents the ball nut from translating out of the stowed position when the lock is in the lock position and the ball nut is in the stowed position.

The systems and methods involve determining a distribution for historical environmental data for the entity, collecting current environmental data for the entity, and generating, using the processor, a graphical representation benchmarking the current environmental data against the historical environmental data, wherein the graphical representation comprises the data segments and represents the current environmental data at a position within one of the segments, where the data segments are calculated using the distribution.

Abstract: A grid router includes a plurality of external interface units to receive packets of services from one point and to provide packets of services to another point and a second plurality of mailbox units to store and forward the packets associated with mailboxes, one per service. Each mailbox unit is connected to each external interface unit. The units are implemented on PCs (personal computers) having memory controllers and move the packets through the router close to or at the I/O (input/output) rate of the memory controllers.

Abstract: A free-standing bicycle parking rack has multiple bicycle parking stations that accommodates most bicycles, including those equipped with disc brakes. The rack has a generally rectangular base, with two longitudinal tubular members rigidly coupled to two lateral tubular end members. Each parking station includes a pair of generally parallel, spaced-apart, interconnected V-shaped uprights which are affixed to one of the longitudinal members. A straight brace interconnects each of the uprights with the longitudinal member to which it is not directly affixed. Upright pairs can be alternately reversed so that each pair is affixed to the opposite longitudinal member, thereby facilitating parking of bicycles on both sides of the rack. A sliding collar, a tire-securing bracket, and a pair of bungee cords, which are provided for each parking station, enable the front or rear wheel of a bicycle to be securely clamped in place for transport.

Abstract: Methods and systems that facilitate rapid response to critical changes in a patient's condition. The disclosed techniques and structures may facilitate rapid input of data (e.g., observed conditions) by a nurse or other clinician, and may provide clinical decision support information based on the input data. In some cases, a user interface that dynamically updates a list of possible causes (e.g., medical conditions) in response to each received input may be provided. In some cases, a user interface presents input selection controls in a check list-type format, and allows a nurse to answer all, or only a subset, of the input selections, in any order.

Abstract: Methods and system include obtaining attributes of athletic players from one or more sources. The attributes define statistics of the athletic players. Minimum requirements are determined for teams organized in a group. A listing is generated for each team in the group. The listing includes a plurality of entries wherein each entry is configured to present attributes of an athletic player or a team that is part of the group. Select ones of the plurality of entries in the listing are static and select ones of the entries are dynamic. The entries that are static are used to provide minimum requirements defined for each team in the group and the entries that are dynamic are used to provide attributes of the teams or the athletic players. The dynamic entries are adjusted during a drafting process to provide current status of the teams and the athletic players.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition which comprises a therapeutically effective amount of a aminopyridine dispersed in a release matrix, including, for example, a composition that can be formulated into a stable, sustained-release oral dosage formulation, such as a tablet which provides, upon administration to a patient, a therapeutically effective plasma level of the aminopyridine for a period of at least 12 hours, preferably 24 hours or more and the use of the composition to treat various neurological diseases.

Abstract: A new and distinct Hop plant is described. The triploid cultivar results out of selection from a population of seedlings derived from the open pollination of the cultivar ‘Hallertauer Mittelfrueh’ (not patented). The cones are of a medium size, oval shape and ripen early. The new cultivar produces cones suitable for beer flavouring in the aroma hops market.
