Publication number: 20220354485Abstract: A drive mechanism for operating a suturing mechanism includes a user input displaceable through a range of motion and a linkage mechanically associated with the user input and with a shuttle transmitter of the suturing mechanism. The linkage converts displacements of the user input unidirectionally or bidirectionally into a sequence of operations of the shuttle transmitter including sufficient to perform a sequence of operations of the suturing mechanism to perform successive bidirectional stitching, with the shuttle transmitter penetrating tissue alternately with and without a shuttle needle attached.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2020Publication date: November 10, 2022Inventors: Shachar ROTEM, Netanel SHARABANI, Ori GOLDOR

Publication number: 20220265268Abstract: A suturing device includes a shuttle for holding a suture, a shuttle transmitter and a shuttle receiver. The shuttle transmitter includes a shuttle holder for holding the shuttle and a shuttle releaser displaceable relative to the shuttle holder for releasing the shuttle from the shuttle holder. The shuttle holder advances through a material at a first location while holding the shuttle until the shuttle engages the shuttle receiver. The shuttle releaser then releases the shuttle from the shuttle holder for withdrawal of the shuttle transmitter through the material, leaving the shuttle engaged with the shuttle receiver. The shuttle transmitter the penetrates the material at a second location opposite the shuttle receiver and retrieves the shuttle, holding it while withdrawing through the material at the second location. This sequence can be repeated to form a wide range of multi-stitch suture patterns for vascular closure and a wide range of other applications.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 10, 2020Publication date: August 25, 2022Inventors: Shachar ROTEM, Netanel SHARABANI, Ori GOLDOR

Patent number: 10184615Abstract: A medical device includes an interface unit body, which is configured to hold a portion of a flexible infusion tube. A hinge insert is fixed to the interface unit body and is configured to engage a hinge receptacle, which defines a hinge axis, on an infusion pump. A catch insert is fixed to the interface unit body and is configured to lock onto a catch receptacle on the infusion pump upon rotation of the mechanical interface unit about the hinge axis while the hinge insert engages the hinge receptacle, so as to bring the tube into engagement with a peristaltic mechanism of the infusion pump in order to enable the peristaltic mechanism to propel a fluid through the tube.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2017Date of Patent: January 22, 2019Assignee: Q-CORE MEDICAL LTD.Inventors: Shachar Rotem, Ori Goldor

Patent number: 10113543Abstract: The present invention includes a finger-type peristaltic pump with a ribbed anvil. According to some embodiments, a finger type peristaltic pump may comprise a plurality of pressing fingers, an infusion tube and a passive interfacing mechanism. The passive interfacing mechanism may comprise a channel, groove or other suitable mount for placing and mounting an infusion tube such that the pressing fingers are positioned on one side of the tube and the ribbed anvil on the opposite side. The pressing fingers may be positioned to apply an approximately perpendicular force on the tube, pressing it against the ribbed anvil, thus causing a pumping action.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2012Date of Patent: October 30, 2018Assignee: Q-CORE MEDICAL LTD.Inventors: Shachar Rotem, Ori Goldor
