    Abstract: An apparatus for reproducing signals which are recorded on a tape to form oblique tracks thereon. The apparatus includes a drum which has a plurality of rotary heads adjoining each other for scanning respective oblique tracks simultaneously to produce reproduced signals. The tape is wrapped around the drum and overlaps a first lead angle so that each of the rotary heads scans a plurality of the oblique tracks during one rotation in a still mode in which the tape is not transported. A control unit is also provided for controlling a rotational speed of the rotary heads and a transport speed of the tape; and a processes unit for processing the reproduced signals.

    Abstract: In a pop-up type cassette mounting and ejection mechanism having a lid member which closes a cassette inserting/taking-out opening of a housing when a cassette holder is located at a cassette mount position, and also is movable away from the housing interlockingly with the movement of the cassette holder to a cassette eject position to open the cassette inserting/taking-out opening, the lid member is mounted on the cassette holder so as to be slidable in a direction parallel to the insertion direction of the cassette into the cassette holder, and one of the two side edges of a reinforcing member of a plate member is rotatably mounted on the lid member while the other side edge is rotatably mounted on the housing, thereby linking the housing and the lid member through the reinforcing member. Further, at the cassette inserting/taking-out opening side of the cassette holder, the recess is formed in the housing and the projection for closing the recess is formed in the lid member.

    Abstract: A cassette container capable of accommodating plural kinds of cassettes of different sizes including a plate for supporting a cassette to be mounted so as to be in contact with a surface thereof. In this cassette container, a pair of cassette guides are provided for guiding a cassette of a predetermined size which is less than a predetermined maximum size to a mounting position. These pair of cassette guides can be lowered by insertion of a cassette larger than the cassette of the predetermined size to a lower side of the plate. A pair of leaf springs urge the pair of cassette guides toward an upper side of the plate respectively. In addition, the pair of cassette guides are inclined toward a cassette insertion side when the cassette guides move to the upper side of the plate upon urging of the pair of leaf springs. The pair of cassettes are positioned approximately parallel with the plate when the cassette guides are lowered to the lower side of the plate by insertion of the larger cassette.

    Abstract: A bumper of synthetic resin for use in an automobile includes a core, and an outer layer covering the core. The material for forming the core includes a main component produced by pulverizing a recovered bumper which has been formed using a polyolefin-based resin composition modified by an olefinic elastomer and which has a thermosetting synthetic resin coating film on its surface, and a polyethylene added to the main component. The material for forming the outer layer includes the polyolefin-based resin composition modified by the olefinic elastomer and the polyethylene in a content A.sub.2 which is smaller than a content A.sub.1 of the polyethylene in the core forming material (A.sub.2 <A.sub.1). The impact resistance of the core is enhanced with the addition of the polyethylene, despite the inclusion of the coating film particles. The outer layer is excellent in heat resisting characteristic, because of a smaller content of the polyethylene.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a side protective moulding having a decorative section and a rib section. The decorative section has a protruding section protruding most with respect to a door, and a curved section extending aslant from the protruding section toward the door. The rib section has a hollow section formed on the back side of the protruding section and a reinforcing leg section extending from the hollow section toward the door. The side moulding is moulded by a hollow injection moulding process. Adopting this moulding process can improve the outside appearance of the side moulding by eliminating sink marks and wrinkles from the surface of the decorative section if a thick wall section for increasing side moulding rigidity and impact strength is formed on the back side of the decorative section.

    Abstract: A molded protective strip for automobiles is prepared by the gas injection molding of a resin composition which comprises (A) 55 to 75% by weight of polypropylene, (B) 18 to 30% by weight of ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber, and (C) 10 to 20% by weight of talc, has a ratio (MI).sub.PP /(MI).sub.EPR of 10 or less, and a polydispersity index of 20 to 100. (MI).sub.PP and (MI).sub.EPR represents melt indices of the polypropylene of component (A) and the ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber of component (B), respectively. The polydispersity index is calculated from a frequency-storage modulus curve obtained with a composition consisting of components (A), (B), and (C) alone at the temperature of 230.degree. C. The molded protective strip can be prepared without using a vinyl chloride resin, shows almost no heat shrinkage, has a small coefficient of linear expansion, is excellent in dimensional stability, and exhibits excellent appearance.

Coating immediately after degreasing is made possible and excellent property for coating can be provided by using the polypropylene resin composition.
