  • Patent number: 4727190
Abstract: A process for continuously preparing benzophenone-azines comprising oxidizing benzophenone-imines with molecular oxygen or a molecular oxygen-containing gas in the presence of a copper halide catalyst is disclosed. The oxidation reaction is carried out in a multistage system under an oxygen partial pressure gradually decreasing from the former stage to the latter stage and at a conversion gradually decreasing from the former stage to the latter stage, while controlling the conversion so that the molar ratio of the benzophenone-imines to the copper halide in the final stage be maintained at 1 or more. By the process, the continuous reaction can stably be performed at a high conversion of the benzophenone-imines without involving insolubilization and sedimentation of the catalyst.

  • Patent number: 4509874
Abstract: An apparatus for securing a typewriter, includes a locking device for locking an outer case in a closed position and a fastening device for fastening a bottom plate of the case to a mounting base. When opened, the cover permits a portion of the bottom plate to be exposed. The fastening device is brought, from inside the case, into engagement with the bottom plate of the case through the exposed portion of the bottom plate, thereby locking the typewriter to the mounting base. The fastening device for the bottom plate cannot be released unless the locking device is unlocked by a key to open the cover. Accordingly, only a keyholder can unlock the locking device, thus preventing the typewriter from being stolen. Further, since the fastening device is engaged with the bottom plate of the typewriter case, the outer appearance of the typewriter is not degraded.

  • Patent number: 3998288
Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in a wheeled vehicle upon which is mounted a crane or fork lift. More particularly, this invention relates to a wheeled vehicle for conveying loads including a machine bed upon which are mounted three wheel fitting yokes, one rear and two front, to which wheels are respectively attached in the rear center and both front sides of the machine bed as to revolve freely and independently. For steering purposes, an oil pressure power cylinder is connected to each of the wheel fitting yokes through a rack and pinion gear and for locomotion an oil pressure motor furnishes power to the wheels. The wheels may be moved along a circle which passes through the point of ground contact of each wheel, thereby rotating the wheeled vehicle about a circular path centered near the middle of the vehicle. Alternatively, the wheel fitting yokes may be oriented for sidewise motion of the wheeled vehicle.
