  • Patent number: 5341079
Abstract: A tracing control system prevents a cutter head from biting into a workpiece at all times irrespective of a tracing speed. The cutter head moves to machine the workpiece based on displacements of a stylus on a tracer head (41) along respective axes. The tracer head (41) is actuated along tracing axes independently of the cutter head by motors (31) different from the cutter head. A calculating unit (6) calculates the actual position of the tracer head (41). Based on the actual position of the tracer head (41) and the displacements of the stylus along the respective axes, speed commands for the center of a cutter of the cutter head are corrected by a correcting unit (7) so as to correspond to the displacements of the stylus with respect to the tracer head (41). The central position of the cutter head is thus controlled at all times in conformity with the central position of the stylus.

  • Patent number: 5317517
Abstract: Disclosed is a digitizing method of sensing an amount of displacement of each axis applied to a stylus by a tracer head, profiling a model surface while controlling the stylus in such a manner that the amount of displacement is made equal to a reference amount of displacement, sequentially fetching positional data by a predetermined method, and outputting NC data, wherein a difference between the amount of displacement and the reference amount of displacement is monitored, and the difference is added to the positional data and a specific positional data obtained when the difference exceeds a predetermined value is output. Although the amount of displacement of each axis is controlled to be equal to the reference amount of displacement when a gently inclined configuration is profiled, at the moment when a corner is reached, a phenomenon that the stylus is spaced apart from a model arises so that the difference between the amount of displacement and the reference amount of displacement is increased.

  • Patent number: 4993010
Abstract: A laser disk cassette selecting system comprising a cassette case having a plurality of housing cavities in a multi-layered or sequential form for housing laser disks or cassettes, a cassette or disk case holding member for detachably mounting the case, a driving motor for moving the case holding member up or down, a forwarding device which forwards a selected laser disk or cassette in the case into a disk or cassette player, whereby the laser disk or cassette is selectively forwarded into the disk or cassette player after a certain positioning operation occurs to orient the selected disk or cassette with the player.

  • Patent number: 4868351
Abstract: An input pen of data input tablet comprising a magnetic core which is positioned at the data input tablet side end of a pen case and passes a magnetic flux generated from the data input tablet, a conductive holder for holding this core, a detection coil wound around on the core, and a lead wire led out from the coil in close contact with the holder. The magnetic flux generated by the current flowing into electrodes formed in the data input tablet is detected by the detection coil, thereby detecting a position on the data input tablet. A protective tube which covers at least the detection coil and magnetic core to protect the coil and core is also provided. An annular shield case formed of metal or other conductive material and functioning as an electromagnetic and electrostatic shield near the protective tube is provided in another embodiment.

  • Patent number: 4370468
Abstract: Provided is a biaxially drawn film composed substantially of polyhexamethylene adipamide, which has a refractive index of at least 1.560 in both the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction and an ultraviolet absorbance E.sub.268 of not more than 0.4, as measured at a wavelength of 268 m.mu. on a film solution in formic acid. The film preferably exhibits a shrinkage factor of not more than 5% in both the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction, as measured after dipping in hot water at 135.degree. C. for 10 minutes. The film is prepared by heat-treating a biaxially drawn polyhexamethylene adipamide film in an inert gas atmosphere at a temperature higher than the drawing temperature employed but lower than the melting point of the film.
