Abstract: A flash fixing apparatus effectively collect vapor gas produced at the time of fixation while fixing a toner image of medium by means off flashlight. In the flash fixation unit, vapor gas produced in flash fixation flows toward the medium transportation direction. Utilizing this phenomenon, a gas suction face is provided in a gas collector so as to receive the vapor gas flowing toward the medium transportation direction. Otherwise, a gas blast portion is provided at the rear stage of the gas collector. The vapor gas flows to the gas suction face naturally, bringing about improved gas collection efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6313857
Abstract: A belt-like pattern, or the like, is printed at a predetermined-gradation value in the first main scanning direction of the line head 66 (S1); a scanner 51 is relatively moved along the first main scanning direction of the line head 66 while aligning the second main scanning direction of the scanner 51 with the subsidiary scanning direction of the line head 66 to thereby detect printing density of the belt-like pattern, or the like (S2); a correction condition for each pixel position on the basis of the detected printing-density value and the predetermined-gradation value is obtained (S5); and image data for image recording is corrected on the basis of the obtained correction condition (S9). Thus, a density irregularity correction method can be provided for correcting density irregularity accurately without influence of individual sensitivity of scanners of an image recording apparatus using the methods.

  • Patent number: 6238492
Abstract: A soft magnetic thin micro-crystalline film of FeaTbNc (at %) wherein T is at least one of Zr, Hf, Ti, Nb, Ta, V, Mo, and W and 0<b≦20, and 0<c≦22 except the range of b≦7.5 and c≦5, shows low coercivity Hc of 80-400 Am−1 (1-5 Oe) which is stable upon heating at elevated temperatures for glass bonding. This film is produced by crystallizing an amorphous alloy film of the similar composition at 350-650° C. to a crystal grain size up to 30 nm to provide uniaxial anisotropy and increased magnetic permeability at a higher frequency. It can also provide low magnetostriction around &lgr;s=0. A composite magnetic head is made using this thin film. A diffusion preventive SiO2 layer is disposed between ferrite cores, and this thin film in the magnetic head prevents an interdiffusion layer and suppresses beat in the output signal.
