    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments include methods and/or procedures performed by a first centralized unit, CU, in a radio access network for configuring a user equipment, UE, to communicate via a plurality of distributed units, DUs. Such embodiments also include selecting a second DU to communicate with the UE in a dual-connectivity, DC, configuration with the first DU.     Abstract: Embodiments include methods for a master node in a radio access network (RAN) to establish neighbor relations with a further RAN node, the master node operating in multi-connectivity towards a user equipment (UE) together with a secondary node in the RAN. Embodiments include determining that a first cell identifier associated with a cell is not included in a neighbor relations table maintained by the master node. Embodiments include sending, to the UE, a request to report a second cell identifier associated with the cell. The request includes the first cell identifier and is sent without determining whether the cell is a serving or neighbor cell for the UE. Embodiments include determining whether to establish a neighbor relation with a node associated with the first cell identifier, based on a report from the UE in response to the request. Embodiments also include complementary methods performed by a UE.

The UE receives, from the master node via the SCG, a second message indicating to the UE to perform a connection reconfiguration. The master node determines, based on the first message and a user equipment context, to perform a connection reconfiguration. The master node provides, to the UE via the SCG, the second message indicating to perform the connection reconfiguration.

The NR RRC messages may each contain a number that the secondary network node added to the NR RRC messages to indicate their respective order in a sequence which the NR RRC messages were sent by the secondary network node. The NR RRC messages may each contain parameters that the UE uses to configure its communications through a NR interface with the secondary network node. The UE may send NR RRC complete messages toward the secondary network node responsive to receipt of the NR RRC messages, wherein the NR RRC complete messages each contain an indication of the NR RRC message that was received. The UE may control the sending of the NR RRC complete messages to indicate to the secondary network node whether the NR RRC messages are received in an order that is the same as the sequence.
