  • Patent number: 11941377
Abstract: In some aspects, a computing system can determine a set of attributes based on analyzing input data using attribute templates written in a production-ready programming language. The computing system can generate attribute definitions for the set of attributes using the attribute templates and deploy the attribute definitions for the set of attributes to a production environment of a software program. The software program is written in a programming language compatible with the production-ready programming language. The computing system can monitor the performance of the set of attributes in the production environment of the software program and cause the attribute definitions of the plurality of attributes to be modified based on the monitoring.

  • Publication number: 20240087684
Abstract: Methods and systems for designing phage therapy cocktails. A candidate phage selector module may be configured to predict lytic activity of phages using a first trained machine learning algorithm, and select candidate phages based at least in part on predicted lytic activity. A cocktail generator module may be configured to generate a set of phage cocktails using a second trained machine learning algorithm, based at least in part on predicted lytic activity. A feedback panel module may be configured to receive feedback information associated with phage cocktails, and use the feedback information to train the first and/or second trained machine learning algorithms.

  • Patent number: 11921110
Abstract: A method for controlled production of an array of planar microparticles with the multiplexing of molecules on the surface thereof, intended to function as molecular sensors and/or actuators and a matrix (array) of microparticles, the surface thereof being printed with all of the molecular components required to provide the surface with functionality. Different molecular elements are multiplexed on the surface of each particle while they are supported on a substrate by means of a structural foot engraved below the particle. These microparticles can be released mechanically from the support on which they are produced using a controlled mechanical rupture method which is not chemically aggressive and therefore does not affect the molecules previously printed on the surface. The array and the particles contained therein offer great versatility in both chemical and/or biological applications.

  • Patent number: 11844610
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a system and method for monitoring lung disease in a patient that is based on information that is derivable from home therapy devices including a ventilation therapy device and an oxygen saturation monitor such as a pulse oximeter. The measured parameters are used to model shunt fraction and a volume of dead space. Based on changes in gas exchange and results of a nitrogen washout test, a change in gas exchange impairment in the patient is observed and is then used to determine progression of a disease, identify a cause of the impairment, and/or to guide treatment of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20230148900
Abstract: Provided are concepts for generating an indicator of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in a subject. In particular, an elasticated bag suitable for inflation is utilised, such that a change in a measurable characteristic of the elasticated during exhalation of the subject is detected. The change in the measurable characteristic may be analyzed so as to generate an indicator of COPD. Thus, this indicator may be used by a skilled professional in deciding whether to further investigate the possible presence of COPD.

  • Publication number: 20220096510
Abstract: Recurrent C. difficile infections are the major cause of death due to C. difficile, which is the causative agent of approximately 20% of antibiotic-associated diarrheas. Conventional treatments for C. difficile infections are not capable of eliminating the rates of recurrence, which occurs in 20-30% of the cases and may be repetitive, the probability of death being greater in each cycle. Until now, the persistence mechanisms of C. difficile for producing recurrence conditions were unknown. In the present invention, we describe the mechanism by which C. difficile spores persist, and a method of treatment with a pharmacological composition based on an antibiotic and nystatin for preventing recurrent C. difficile infections. The route of administration of nystatin is also protected (i.e., oral, intraperitoneal).

  • Publication number: 20210386948
Abstract: A method for controlling a ventilator to provide variable volume (VV) with average volume assured pressure support (AVAPS), including: producing a VV target volume using a VV distribution function; producing a volume error Verror that is the difference between the VV target volume and a measured volume of the previous breath; scaling the volume error Verror; producing a VV target difference as the difference between VV target volume and the VV target volume of the previous breath; producing a modified volume error by adding the VV target difference to the scaled volume error Verror; producing a delta pressure support ?PS based upon the modified volume error and a dynamic compliance; and producing a current pressure support value based upon the delta pressure support ?PS and the pressure support value of the previous breath.

  • Publication number: 20150008712
Abstract: The present invention relates to an anatomic desk chair for office or home work, which has a displacement system composed by a plurality of wheels which allow the user to move from one location to another, wherein the chair is characterized by comprising a backrest having a frame with a tire-type assembly system, i.e. wherein the backrest as such is made of an elastomeric material and is assembled in the frame by pressure and these are adjusted through a series of screws attaching the frame and the counter-frame. Thus, the assembly system is composed by a back support or “skeleton” which corresponds to a piece injected in an elastomer requiring of a stretching process subsequent to the injection in order to obtain the shape and dimension sufficient to assembly in the frame with a tire-type system, after such skeleton-frame assembly the counter-frame is assembled through screws as previously indicated.
