Abstract: Provided is pharmaceutical use of a nucleoside compound, specifically use of compound represented by formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in the preparation of a drug for preventing or treating an infectious disease of orthopoxvirus. The compound represented by formula (I) has a significant inhibitory effect on a vaccinia virus, a monkeypox virus, a cowpox virus, and a smallpox virus.
