    Abstract: A portable motorized centrifugal system is optimized for low cost manufacture and operation. Separation of inhomogeneous fluid biological samples, such as liquid plasma from whole blood, is a common step in medical diagnostic tests. This system may enable remote separation where access to plug-in power sources are limited. The system may facilitate at-home testing. Due to biohazard concerns, the entire centrifugal apparatus portable and disposable, or the system includes one or more disposable elements within the interior of the centrifuge. Alternatively, the system may contain a module of higher value components that are re-usable after disinfection. Devices and methods for implementing centrifugal separation may include disk-shaped fluidic cartridges and tubes with reduced drag cross-section.

    Abstract: A sputtering system includes a vacuum chamber, a power source having a pole coupled to a backing plate for holding a sputtering target within the vacuum chamber, a pedestal for holding a substrate within the vacuum chamber, and a time of flight camera positioned to scan a surface of a target held to the backing plate. The time of flight camera may be used to obtain information relating to the topography of the target while the target is at sub-atmospheric pressure. The target information may be used to manage operation of the sputtering system. Managing operation of the sputtering system may include setting an adjustable parameter of a deposition process or deciding when to replace a sputtering target. Machine learning may be used to apply the time of flight camera data in managing the sputtering system operation.

    Abstract: A camera based on network communication is provided, including a camera body. A viewfinder module of the camera body is configured for receiving a light signal of a front lens. A sensing component converts the light signal received by the viewfinder module into an image electric signal, and simultaneously transmits the image electric signal to a control chip of the interface conversion circuit. The control chip of the interface circuit performs signal conversion on the received image electrical signal and then transmits the signal to the main control module. The signal after signal processing and image processing by the control circuit of the main control module is transmitted and displayed on a display module of the camera body, while transmitted to an external communication device through a communication module. This device can meet use requirements for wireless networks and the intelligent operating system in multiple environments of the camera.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for temperature independent resistive-capacitive delay circuits of a semiconductor device. For example, delays associated with ZQ calibration or timing of the RAS chain may be implemented that to include circuitry that exhibits both proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) characteristics and complementary to absolute temperature (CTAT) characteristics in order to control delay times across a range of operating temperatures. The RC delay circuits may include a first type of circuitry having impedance with PTAT characteristics that is coupled to an output node in parallel with a second type of circuitry having impedance with CTAT characteristics. The first type of circuitry may include a resistor and the second type of circuitry may include a transistor, in some embodiments.

    Abstract: A dual-mode combined control method for a multi-inverter system based on a double split transformer is provided. For an extremely-weak grid, the method provides the dual-mode combined control method for a multi-inverter system based on a double split transformer. According to the method, the equivalent grid impedance at a point of common coupling (PCC) of one grid-connected inverter (GCI) in the multi-inverter system based on the double split transformer is obtained with a grid impedance identification algorithm, and the system sequentially operates in a full current source mode, a hybrid mode, and a full voltage source mode according to a gradually increasing equivalent grid impedance, thereby effectively improving the stability of the multi-inverter system based on the double split transformer during variation of the strength of the grid. The method ensures that the system can still operate stably in the extremely-weak grid.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for enabling an autonomous vehicle (AV) to determine a path to a stopping location are disclosed. Upon receipt of a service request, the AV will determine a desired stop location (DSL) and state information for the service request. The AV using the DSL and the state information to define a pickup/drop-off interval that comprises an area of a road that includes the DSL. When approaching the pickup/drop-off interval, the AV will uses its perception system to determine whether an object is occluding the DSL. If no object is occluding the DSL, the AV will continue along the path toward the DSL. However, if an object is occluding the DSL, the AV will identify and move to a non-occluded alternate stop location (ASL) within the pickup/drop-off interval. The ASL must satisfy one or more permissible stopping location criteria.

    Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an adaptive high-precision compression method and system based on a convolutional neural network model, and belongs to the fields of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and image processing. According to the method of the present disclosure, coarse-grained pruning is performed on a neural network model by using a differential evolution algorithm first, and the coarse-grained space is quickly searched through an entropy importance criterion and an objective function with good guidance to obtain a near-optimal neural network structure. Then fine-grained search space is built on the basis of an optimal individual obtained from the coarse-grained search, and fine-grained pruning is performed on the neural network model by a differential evolution algorithm to obtain a network model with an optimal structure. Finally, the performance of the optimal model is restored by using a multi-teacher multi-step knowledge distillation network to reach the precision of an original model.
