  • Patent number: 11037108
Abstract: A method for facilitating a wireless transaction includes receiving, by a transaction fulfillment system, a transaction request from a transaction requester and verifying an identity of the transaction requester. After verifying the identity of the transaction requester, a transaction code is communicated from the transaction fulfillment system to a wireless communication device. After receiving the transaction code, the transaction code is optically scanned from a visual display of the wireless communication device by the transaction fulfillment system.

  • Patent number: 10846294
Abstract: A system for determining a response to a query includes a receiver to receive a query along with a plurality of potential responses to the query. A detector detects a topic and a type of the query based on information extracted from text and structure. Further, a selector selects at least one of a plurality of techniques for processing the query and the plurality of potential responses, based on the topic and the type of the query. An obtainer obtains an answer by execution of each of the selected techniques for processing the query and the plurality of potential responses along with an associated confidence score. A determinator determines one of obtained answers as a correct response to the query, based on a comparison between confidence scores associated with the answers.

  • Patent number: 10703611
Abstract: A shackle assembly used for lifting an object includes clevis members that each mount to a pin, and are moveable about the pin and into orientations for attachment to the object. Each clevis member includes a main body with an opening that receives the pin. A set of spaced apart and parallel legs project from the main body in a direction away from the pin. Spherical bearings are set between the pin and each main body that enable each clevis member to move with multiple degrees of freedom about the pin. • Publication number: 20200074311
Abstract: Examples of employee concierge are provided. In an example, an issue may be determined for an employee. The issue may be determined based on a query shared by the employee or upon occurrence of an unusual event. The unusual event may be indicative of a deviation in behaviour and routine of the employee. A session may be initiated and the issue may be parsed to determine a context. A bot may be selected from multiple bots for the issue where each bot includes information relating to a solution to address the issue. Data associated with the issue may be collected from a central database and other bots. The data may then be analyzed to determine a solution. The solution comprises a response to the query and a suggestion to mitigate the unusual event.

  • Patent number: 10362160
Abstract: A user of a wireless device, such as a mobile phone, can make purchases or obtain information via a network, such as the Internet, using both voice and non-verbal methods. Users can submit voice queries and receive non-verbal replies, submit non-verbal queries and receive voice replies, or perform similar operations that many the voice and data capabilities of modern mobile communication devices. The user may provide notification criteria indicating under what conditions a notification should be sent to the user's wireless device. When purchasing opportunities matching the selected notification criteria become available, the user is notified. The user can respond to the notification, and immediately take advantage of the purchasing opportunity if he so desires. Mixed-mode interactions can also be used by sellers to more advantageously control the marketing of distressed, time sensitive, or other merchandise/services.

  • Patent number: 10341113
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are described herein related to biometric authentication. A first computing device can detect a machine-readable code displayed by a second computing device, where the machine-readable code can identify protected information viewable via the second computing device. In response to detecting the machine-readable code, the first computing device can acquire biometric data via one or more biometric sensors associated with the first computing device. Based at least in part on the biometric data, the first computing device can generate an authentication message that includes authentication information and identifies the protected information. The first computing device can then send the authentication message to an authentication server for verification of the authentication information, where verification of the authentication information can allow access to the protected information via the second computing device.

  • Patent number: 10330691
Abstract: A diagnostic analyzer includes a track, a light-blocking member, a motor, and an optical testing device. The track moves a reaction vessel held by the track. The light-blocking member is disposed adjacent to the track. The light-blocking member moves from a first position apart from the track to a second position closer to the track. When the light-blocking member is disposed in the first position a sample contained within the reaction vessel held by the track is exposed to light. When the light-blocking member is disposed in the second position the sample contained within the reaction vessel held by the track is blocked from exposure to the light. The motor moves the light-blocking member between the first and the second positions. The optical testing device is disposed adjacent to the track for optically testing the sample contained within the reaction vessel held by the track when the at least one light-blocking member is disposed in the second position.
