  • Publication number: 20230229809
Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting a privacy violation in an image file. A policy to be used by a master imaging application is obtained and a file system is monitored for a digital image modified by a monitored imaging application. It is then determined that the digital image file includes at least some content in violation of a defined setting for the master imaging application and, based on the determination that the digital image file includes at least some content in violation of the defined setting for the master imaging application, taking an action.

  • Publication number: 20230156082
Abstract: System and methods for tracking events in a sports game using one or more event input devices. Each event input device tracks a subset of the game events and the devices work together to provide a simplified input experience by sharing input and context from other event input devices. Since the user is only responsible for capturing a subset of the events, and because each device simplifies the input requirements of the other event input devices, the end user is still able to enjoy watching the game while also opening up the input task to users who would not have typically done so. The combined results of the devices provides a complete picture of the game in the form of a game play-by-play for the fans and statistics for the coaches. Integration with the scoreboard, communication system and player devices provide further event input simplification, rich content for viewers and simplification for traditional scorekeepers and sound controllers.

  • Patent number: 11605078
Abstract: Embodiments described herein disclose methods and systems for authorizing a payment card transaction using a dynamic code accessed from a first device and a presence of a second device. The dynamic code can be accessed on a first device when the second device is within a proximity of the first device (e.g., electronically paired using a short-range communication protocol, on the same local area network). The system can receive a request for authorization of a transaction using the payment card and can include a verification code associated with the payment card and an identifier of the payment card, and the payment card can have the associated dynamic code. The verification code can be compared with a value of the dynamic code at the time of the transaction. In response to the verification code matching the dynamic code at the time of the transaction, the system can authorize the transaction.

  • Patent number: 11586750
Abstract: A method of managing access to protected file content is disclosed. The method includes: receiving a request to open a first file stored on the computing device; determining that the first file is a protected file; in response to determining that the first file is a protected file: identifying a first application that is suitable for opening the first file; determining that the first application is an unsecured application; and in response to determining that the first application is an unsecured application, locking the first application to prevent unauthorized access of application data of the first application in a locked state.

  • Publication number: 20220292615
Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described for identifying non-user social media accounts and that include obtaining a training data set of social media account information; generating additional data elements based on the training data set of social media account information; and generating a predictive model that indicates whether a social media account is a user account or a non-user account based on the obtained training data set and the additional data elements. An unknown social media account is identified for analysis. Social media account information associated with the unknown social media account is retrieved and the additional data elements for the unknown social media account are generated. The predictive model is applied to the social media account information and additional data elements for the unknown social media account to predict whether the unknown social media account is a user account or a non-user account.

  • Patent number: 11429966
Abstract: Embodiments described herein disclose methods and systems for authorizing a payment card transaction using dynamic codes. The system can issue a payment card to a user. The payment card can be associated with a verification application accessible by a device associated with the user. The verification application can include a dynamic code associated with the payment card. The system can receive a request for authorization for a transaction using the payment card from a remote computing device, and the request can include an identifier of the payment card and a verification code. The system can identify the payment card using the identifier of the payment card and can compare the verification code with a value of the dynamic code at the time of the transaction. The system can authorize the transaction when the verification code matches the value of the dynamic code at the time of the transaction.

  • Patent number: 11386229
Abstract: As vehicles collect more data in autonomous or semi-autonomous operation, the collected data such as video, navigation and telemetry data, can containing personally identifiable information (PII). The PII may be governed by specific handling requirements or privacy policies. In order to comply with these requirements and policies a method, system and computer readable memory are provided for determining a location of a vehicle to enable determination of an enforcement policy associated with the location of the vehicle. The enforcement policy defines one or more PII objects that are to be filtered from the vehicle data. The PII objects contained within the vehicle data can then be filtered such that the PII objects are not identifiable. The filtered data can then be stored or transmitted to a remote location.

  • Patent number: 11379610
Abstract: An automatic file encryption method and device for automatically encrypting a file. A processor identifies a characteristic associated with likely sensitive content based on a usage pattern of encrypting files having the characteristic. Creation of a new file is detected and the newly-created file is analyzed to determine whether the file contains sensitive content based upon it having the characteristic. If the file is found to have the characteristic, then the file is automatically encrypted.
