A heat sink spaced from the pressure generator is provided for absorbing heat from the pressure generator. A bacteria filter requiring heating in excess of an ambient temperature for the effective operation thereof is coupled in thermal communication with the heat sink. A heat pipe is coupled in thermal communication with the heat sink and the pressure generator for conveying at least part of heat produced by the pressure generator to the bacteria filter via the heat sink.

Abstract: The claimed subject matter provides a system and/or a method that facilitates user selectable advertising networks. Advertising content can be formed into cohesive subsets of advertising. These subsets can be related to criteria to facilitate selection between available subsets of advertising content. A selection component can facilitate selection of the available subsets of advertising content based on these criteria. The criteria can be related to user preferences. Further the criteria can relate to explicit user preferences such as opt-in or opt-out indicia. The user can be presented with more relevant advertising content where user selection of advertising networks occurs.

Abstract: A query may be applied against search engines that respectively return a set of search results relating to various items discovered in the searched data sets. However, presenting numerous and varied search results may be difficult on mobile devices with small displays and limited computational resources. Instead, search results may be associated with search domains representing various information types (e.g., contacts, public figures, places, projects, movies, music, and books) and presented by grouping search results with associated query domains, e.g., in a tabbed user interface. The query may be received through an input device associated with a particular input domain, and may be transitioned to the query domain of a particular search engine (e.g., by recognizing phonemes of a voice query using an acoustic model; matching phonemes with query terms according to a pronunciation model; and generating a recognition result according to a vocabulary of an n-gram language model.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing a composite comprising nanofibres or nanotubes on a porous ?-SiC substrate, said method comprising the following steps: (a) a catalyst for growing nanotubes or nanofibres is incorporated into said porous ?-SiC substrate or into an SiC precursor; (b) carbon nanotubes or nanofibres are grown from a mixture comprising hydrogen and at least one hydrocarbon; and (c) optionally, said carbon nanotubes or nanofibres are converted to SiC nanofibres. This composite may be used as a catalyst or catalyst support.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of indexing a speech lattice for search of audio corresponding to the speech lattice is provided. The method includes identifying at least two speech recognition hypotheses for a word which have time ranges satisfying a criteria. The method further includes merging the at least two speech recognition hypotheses to generate a merged speech recognition hypothesis for the word.

Abstract: Audio/video (A/V) content is analyzed using speech and language analysis components. Metadata is automatically generated based upon the analysis. The metadata is used in generating user interface interaction components which allow a user to view subject matter in various segments of the A/V content and to interact with the A/V content based on the automatically generated metadata.

Abstract: A breathing system allows a single valve and corresponding control system to utilize either high or low pressure gas input and control the delivery of gas to a patient in a manner independent of the gas pressure level. Some such systems include a blower that provides gas with low pressure, a high pressure inlet port, a force balance valve or similar that will regulate the high pressure to work in the low pressure system, and a proportional valve assembly with a unitary control system that will allow for efficient ventilation operations regardless of gas source. Some such systems are capable of seamless transition from low to high pressure and from high to low pressure gas sources, as well as independent operation while either source serves as an input.

Abstract: A computing system configured to produce an optimized translation hypothesis of text input into the computing system. The computing system includes a plurality of translation machines. Each of the translation machines is configured to produce their own translation hypothesis from the same text. An optimization machine is connected to the plurality of translation machines. The optimization machine is configured to receive the translation hypotheses from the translation machines. The optimization machine is further configured to align, word-to-word, the hypotheses in the plurality of hypotheses by using a hidden Markov model.

Abstract: Embodiments of a computer-implemented advertisement display system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a speech recognition component that processes a video clip and produces a corresponding collection of speech recognition data indicative of an audio portion of the video clip. The system also includes a collection of advertising material. An advertisement selection component selects an advertisement from the collection of advertising material based on the corresponding collection of speech recognition data. The system also includes a display. An advertisement presentation component displays an indication of the selected advertisement on the display during a simultaneous display of the video clip.

Abstract: Providing for browsing a summary of content formed of keywords that can scale to a user-defined level of detail is disclosed herein. Components of a system can include a summarization component that extracts keywords related to the content and associates the keywords with portions thereof, and a zooming component that displays a number of keywords based on a keyword/keyphrase relevance rank and a zoom factor. Additionally, a speech to text component can translate speech associated with the content into text, wherein the keywords are extracted from the translated text. Consequently, the claimed subject matter can present a variable hierarchy of keywords to form a scalable summary of such recorded content.

Abstract: A method of communicating information about a product evaluation between a system having a data store and a wireless client device is discussed. The method includes receiving a signal representative of an audible indication from the client device via a wireless communication link identifying the product about which evaluation information is to be communicated. The method further includes comparing an indication of the signal to data in the data store in response to match the indication with a portion of the data and communicating evaluation information between the wireless client device and the system.

Abstract: A/V content creation, editing and publishing is disclosed. Speech recognition can be performed on the A/V content to identify words therein and form a transcript of the words. The transcript can be aligned with the associated A/V content and displayed to allow selective editing of the transcript and associated A/V content. Keywords and a summary for the transcript can also be identified for use in publishing the A/V content.

Abstract: A media capture device has an audio input receptive of user speech relating to a media capture activity in close temporal relation to the media capture activity. A plurality of focused speech recognition lexica respectively relating to media capture activities are stored on the device, and a speech recognizer recognizes the user speech based on a selected one of the focused speech recognition lexica. A media tagger tags captured media with generated speech recognition text, and a media annotator annotates the captured media with a sample of the user speech that is suitable for input to a speech recognizer. Tagging and annotating are based on close temporal relation between receipt of the user speech and capture of the captured media. Annotations may be converted to tags during post processing, employed to edit a lexicon using letter-to-sound rules and spelled word input, or matched directly to speech to retrieve captured media.
