  • Patent number: 10934866
Abstract: A gas turbine engine includes a fan having a plurality of fan blades configured to rotate about a central axis of the gas turbine engine. Each fan blade is configured to pivot about a pivot axis that extends radially away from the central axis to vary a pitch of the fan blade. The fan further includes a counterforce system configured to resist forces that urge the fan blades away from their pitch positions during operation of the gas turbine engine.

  • Patent number: 10687138
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for earloops are described. In one example, an earloop for wearing on an ear of a user head is described. The earloop includes a capsule connector segment for coupling to a headset capsule, and an apex segment having an adaptive apex curvature arranged to rest on an apex of the ear. The earloop further includes a behind-the-ear segment having an adaptive behind-the-ear curvature arranged to curve behind the ear and exert a resilient gripping tension behind the ear, wherein the capsule connector segment is located along the x-axis at a different location than the behind-the-ear segment in both a static non-worn state and a static worn state, and wherein the apex segment is between the capsule connector segment and the behind-the-ear segment.

  • Patent number: 10679472
Abstract: A visual task or status indicator comprises a tube having a riser region extending away from a base and an illumination output region distal to the riser region. The tube has the tube wall comprising an optical diffuser material. A waveguide, such as a polycarbonate strand or other optical fiber or a bundle of optical fibers, is enclosed within and extends through the riser region into the illumination output region of the tube. The waveguide is configured to emit light laterally in the illumination output region. A light source is coupled to the waveguide. The light source can have a plurality of output light modes, including various colors or intensities or patterns of colors and intensities. Control circuitry is connected to the light source to select the output light modes in response to a control signal. A plurality of indicators can be controlled from a central control hub.

  • Publication number: 20190099767
Abstract: A shower apparatus includes: a mounting bracket or mounting component; and a rigid component or shower panel. The shower panel includes one or more spray arrangements of sprayers, spray arrays, or spray patterns, and fluid passageways connecting water input to the one or more spray arrangements. The shower apparatus further includes a water flow control assembly for selecting a single flow from a plurality of flows to different combinations of the spray arrangements. The water flow control assembly comprises a plurality of buttons, a constrained strip, and a plurality of valves. A button when selected deflects the constrained strip—which is constrained and capable of deflection at a single location—into a corresponding valve to activate flow through the valve. This deflection straightens a previous deflection, thereby closing the previously open valve.
