  • Publication number: 20230414974
Abstract: Methods for reducing electromagnetic interference arising from use of multiple ultrasound transducers in an array, particularly inside a human body that is inside a magnetic resonance imaging device. Electrical signals driving the transducers are offset in phase with respect to one another so as to achieve maximum offset of electrical and magnetic fields arising from such signals and transducers. Phase offsets are dynamically adjusted to respond to changes in driving amplitudes and frequencies so as to maintain optimal reduction of electromagnetic interference.

  • Patent number: 11819713
Abstract: A multi-frequency ultrasound therapy apparatus is configured to operate at its center frequency and at the higher harmonic of its center frequency. The center frequency can be for the entire apparatus or for each ultrasound source element. At least one source element can generate ultrasound energy at its center frequency while, simultaneously, at least another source element can generate ultrasound energy at the higher harmonic of its center frequency. In addition, the same source element can generate ultrasound energy at its center frequency and the higher harmonic of its center frequency, respectively, but at different times. A data storage unit that stores encrypted and encoded data is disposed on the apparatus. The encoded data includes a unique identification code of the apparatus, the condition of use of the apparatus, the center frequency of each source element, the ultrasound efficiency of each source element, and/or other parameters relating to the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 11814188
Abstract: A fuel drain engagement tool and a method for draining fuel from a fuel tank are provided. In one example, a fuel drain engagement tool includes a housing. An engagement mechanism is coupled with the housing and extending upward therefrom. The engagement mechanism is configured to engage a fuel drain valve and to move between a contracted state and an expanded state. A compression applicator is coupled with the housing and is positioned to engage the engagement mechanism when the compression applicator is compressed to apply a force to the engagement mechanism that causes the engagement mechanism to move from the expanded state to the contracted state.

  • Publication number: 20230077640
Abstract: A method is described for producing a pneumococcal capsular polysaccharide protein conjugate in which one or more activated pneumococcal polysaccharides of particular pneumococcal serotypes and carrier protein are separately lyophilized, the separately lyophilized polysaccharides and carrier protein are separately reconstituted in an organic solvent, and the reconstituted polysaccharide and carrier protein are then combined together by Tee-mixing and conjugated together to produce polysaccharide carrier protein conjugates. A plurality of conjugates, each comprising polysaccharides of a particular serotype, may be used to produce multivalent pneumococcal immunogenic compositions having a combination of conjugates for use in vaccines.

  • Patent number: 11471053
Abstract: Temperature uncertainty maps are calculated based on a rolling window of temperature maps, which is updated as new temperature maps are generated. The rolling window mitigates the effect of transient motion during a thermal therapy procedure. A clinician or an automated control system can then update a portion of an anatomical boundary or the thermal therapy applicator center based on the temperature uncertainty map.

Abstract: An aircraft lifting assembly includes a jack, a load cell, and a jack adapter. The jack includes an extendable arm having a distal end portion for exerting a force to lift an object. The distal end portion defines a cavity. The jack adapter couples the extendable arm to the load cell and includes a base portion, a cradle portion, and a projection. The base portion defines a jack arm support surface and a load cell support surface. The jack arm support surface opposes the distal end portion of the extendable arm and the load cell support surface opposes the load cell. The cradle portion extends from the base portion to circumscribe a portion of the load cell to secure the jack adapter to the load cell. The projection extends from the base portion into the cavity to secure the jack adapter to the extendable arm of the jack.
