  • Publication number: 20110244439
Abstract: A system and method for creating and administering tests on a mobile wireless device are provided, comprising a server containing a plurality of question items in predetermined subject matter areas. A teacher having with a mobile wireless device and teacher access credentials to the server creates and administers a test containing selected question items for selected students. Each student having a mobile wireless device and student access credentials to the server provides responses to the question items on the test as administered by the teacher. After taking the test, the student transmits the student's responses to the server. Teachers and other authorized users can then assess the student's performance on the test, along with other performance statistics provided in reports across a plurality of students' responses to various question items and tests.

  • Publication number: 20030201212
Abstract: A system and method for assisting an operator in sorting mail includes a wireless headset equipped with a microphone, and a workstation that includes a processing unit, voice-recognition and voice-synthesis circuitry, and a database. In operation, addressee information spoken into the microphone is transmitted to the workstation where it is used to search the database. Destination information from a matching database record is then output to the operator on one or more of a display terminal, headset speakers, and heads-up display fixed to the headset. The convenience and enhanced capability provided by this system streamlines operator productivity and sorting volume.
