  • Patent number: 8140486
Abstract: Provided are a method, system, and program for restoring a source file referenced by multiple file names to a restore file. An operation is processed to restore a source file having a first file name to a restore file, wherein the source file is in a state of being accessed by a process. A determination is made as to whether a second file name references the source file. A first temporary file name and a second temporary file name are created that both reference the restore file in response to determining that the second file name references the source file. The first temporary file name is renamed to the first file name and the second temporary file name is renamed to the second file name. After the renaming of the first and second temporary file names, the first and second file names reference the restore file.

  • Publication number: 20110234289
Abstract: Process variation-tolerant diodes and diode-connected thin film transistors (TFTs), printed or patterned structures (e.g., circuitry) containing such diodes and TFTs, methods of making the same, and applications of the same for identification tags and sensors are disclosed. A patterned structure comprising a complementary pair of diodes or diode-connected TFTs in series can stabilize the threshold voltage (Vt) of a diode manufactured using printing or laser writing techniques. The present invention advantageously utilizes the separation between the Vt of an NMOS TFT (Vtn) and the Vt of a PMOS TFT (Vtp) to establish and/or improve stability of a forward voltage drop across a printed or laser-written diode. Further applications of the present invention relate to reference voltage generators, voltage clamp circuits, methods of controlling voltages on related or differential signal transmission lines, and RFID and EAS tags and sensors.

  • Patent number: 7983332
Abstract: An eye violation and excess jitter trigger for a digital signal uses a mask within a unit interval of the digital signal, such as a rectangular mask having corners defined by a high threshold, a low threshold, an early clock and a late clock, the early and late clocks being derived from a reference clock. The reference clock may be a recovered clock derived from the digital signal or from high and low threshold comparator outputs, or may be an external clock. For the excess jitter trigger, which is a special case of the eye violation trigger, the high and low thresholds are essentially equal. A status of the digital signal with respect to the mask is determined using the high and low thresholds and the early and late clocks, and a violation signal is output when the status indicates that a portion of the digital signal crossed into the mask. The violation signal may then be used to trigger data acquisition or for other purposes.

  • Publication number: 20110146129
Abstract: A planar triangular patch for cleaning firearm bores. The patch has similarly sized notches placed centrally along the edges of the patch, permitting a uniform level of pleating as the patch is inserted into a firearm bore and wraps around a jag. The patch is made of a material design to clean and preserve the interior of a firearm bore and applies uniform pressure against the bore as it presents the face of its longest radius to the bore interior, cleaning the entire bore simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 7908246
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer products for separating file data streams for improved progressive incremental processing are provided. The method comprises identifying data in a file, prior to transmission of the data in a data stream to a second system, such that the second system can distinguish first data from second data in the file. The method further comprises processing the first and second data to determine whether the first or second data has changed, and transmitting the first data to the second system in response to determining the first data has changed, so that the first data is stored in a data storage medium in association with third and fourth data previously stored without replacing the third data and fourth data, wherein the third and fourth data comprise older versions of the first and second data, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20110052905
Abstract: A process of producing laminate articles comprising coating or plating the press surfaces, whether plates, or interleaved press plates, with a flouro-polymer impregnated hard coating. Typical coatings that can be used with the flouro-polymer including nickel and chrome, their combinations, and alloys thereof. Advantages of the invention are expected to include better plate life, fewer plate cleanings, fast press times while supporting lower product cost and better equipment utilization. In addition, laminate products include a flouro-polymer as part of the laminate product. The process permits the omission of the so called “overlay” layer, typically an ?-cellulose layer, which overlies hard particles in the upper surface of the laminate while providing increased pressing surface life.

  • Publication number: 20110018692
Abstract: Methods, algorithms, architectures, circuits, and/or systems for managing POR-less integrated circuits are disclosed. The method of validating code from a wireless device can include: (i) broadcasting a signal from a reader to the wireless device, (ii) reading a code transmitted, re-radiated, and/or backscattered from the wireless device, the code having a predetermined quality, characteristic, and/or property, (iii) comparing the code to a reference quality, characteristic, and/or property, and (iv) validating the code when the predetermined quality, characteristic, and/or property matches the reference quality, characteristic, and/or property. Embodiments of the present invention can advantageously provide a reliable approach for validating integrated circuits that do not incorporate a POR circuit, and which therefore may transmit spurious bits of data upon being energized.

A cam is disposed in the lock body. The cam has a lock position for moving the locking element to engage the shackle. There is also an unlocked position for moving the locking element to disengage the shackle. The cam has a shackle removal position for removing the shackle from the lock body. The leg has a shackle removal recess sized to receive the locking element sufficiently so as to permit movement of the cam to the shackle removal position. The cam is configured to displace the locking element into the shackle removal recess.
