  • Publication number: 20170067608
Abstract: Electronic lighting systems comprising various internal housing assemblies that provide an air channel for air and scented air are contemplated. In some embodiments, an electronic lighting system comprises a housing disposed within the outer cover that supports a flame element. The flame element is allowed to move on the housing to create a realistic candle light effect. Additionally, a scent cartridge can be inserted into the electronic lighting device to create scented air that moves through an air channel in the electronic lighting device. • Patent number: 9580640
Abstract: A system and process for defining, blending and monitoring fresh water with subterranean produced formation fluids, with particular constituents of the blended waters being controlled for proper use in gel-type hydraulic fracturing operations. On-site measurements and calculations of clay stabilization replacement, through a Potassium Chloride (KCl) Equivalency calculation, provide feedback on water constituent adjustments that may be needed just prior to the gel-based hydraulic fracturing process. This assures adequate gel cross-linking times, delayed gel cross-linking times, and clay stabilization in the formation to be fractured.

  • Publication number: 20170053266
Abstract: A method and computer program code for expediting issuance and activation of transaction instruments upon application therefor. A first set of application information is collected from an applicant. The first set of application information is processed to determine whether all required information has been obtained. If the first set of application information comprises less than all information required to issue and activate the transaction instrument, then the application process is completed and the transaction instrument is provided to the applicant in an unactivated state. The applicant is required to communicate with the transaction instrument issuer to provide the issuer with a second set of required application information. The accuracy of the second set of required application information is verified, and then the transaction instrument is activated after the second set of required application information has been verified.

The compositions comprise an enzyme that is able to convert a substrate to release hydrogen peroxide, and an unrefined natural substance, such as a honey, that includes a substrate for the enzyme. In certain embodiments, the enzyme is a purified enzyme. In other embodiments, the substrate lacks catalase activity, and the enzyme is additional to any enzyme activity able to convert the substrate to release hydrogen peroxide that may be present in the unrefined natural substance. The storage-stable compositions do not include sufficient free water to allow the enzyme to convert the substrate. Use of the compositions to treat microbial infections and wounds is described, as well as methods for their production.

  • Patent number: 9574222
Abstract: Provided is a compound comprising the structure: (SIG)-(SI-MOD)m. In this compound, SIG is a signaling molecule, SI is a self-immolative structure bound to SIG such that SIG has a reduced signal relative to the signal of SIG without SI, MOD is a moiety bound to SI that is subject to modification by an activator, and m is an integer from 1 to about 10. With this compound, when MOD is modified by an activator, SI is destabilized and self-cleaved from SIG such that SIG generates an increased signal. Also provided is a method of determining whether a sample comprises an activator, using the above-described compound. Additionally provided is a method of determining whether a cell comprises a nitroreductase using the above-described compound where nitroreductase is the activator. Further provided is a method of determining whether a mammalian cell is hypoxic using the above-described compound where nitroreductase is the activator.
