Publication number: 20200410231Abstract: A method for extracting data from lineless tables includes storing an image including a table in a memory. A processor operably coupled to the memory identifies a plurality of text-based characters in the image, and defines multiple bounding boxes based on the characters. Each of the bounding boxes is uniquely associated with at least one of the text-based characters. A graph including multiple nodes and multiple edges is generated based on the bounding boxes, using a graph construction algorithm. At least one of the edges is identified for removal from the graph, and removed from the graph to produce a reduced graph. The reduced graph can be sent to a neural network to predict row labels and column labels for the table.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2019Publication date: December 31, 2020Inventors: Freddy Chongtat CHUA, Tigran ISHKHANOV, Nigel Paul DUFFY

Publication number: 20200405995Abstract: A supplemental oxygen delivery system is described in which Aerosol is delivered into a housing 10, 20, which sits in the circuit from the supplemental oxygen supply and optional humidifier. The supplemental oxygen passes through this chamber 10, 20 in which the aerosol is located, and collects the aerosol transporting it to a patient via a nasal cannula 3 or a face mask 4. An aerosol generator 9 is mounted to the housing 10, 20 and delivers aerosol into an oxygen stream 13 flowing between an inlet 14 and an outlet 15 of the housing 10. The housing 10 also has a removable plug 16 in the base 17 thereof for draining any liquid that accumulates in the housing 10. There is no disruption of oxygen delivery to patients using nasal cannulas who currently have to use a separate face-mask when receiving nebulized medication.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 9, 2020Publication date: December 31, 2020Applicant: Stamford Devices LimitedInventors: John Sylvester Power, James B. Fink, Conor Paul Duffy, Trevor Stephen Fahy

Publication number: 20200327373Abstract: An object-extraction method includes generating multiple partition objects based on an electronic document, and receiving a first user selection of a data element via a user interface of a compute device. In response to the first user selection, and using a machine learning model, a first subset of partition objects from the multiple partition objects is detected and displayed via the user interface. A user interaction, via the user interface, with one of the partition objects is detected, and in response, a weight of the machine learning model is modified, to produce a modified machine learning model. A second user selection of the data element is received via the user interface, and in response and using the modified machine learning model, a second subset of partition objects from the multiple partition objects is detected and displayed via the user interface, the second subset different from the first subset.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2020Publication date: October 15, 2020Applicant: Ernst & Young U.S. LLPInventors: Dan G. TECUCI, Ravi Kiran Reddy PALLA, Hamid Reza Motahari NEZHAD, Vincent POON, Nigel Paul DUFFY, Joseph NIPKO

Publication number: 20200327407Abstract: A multi-label ranking method includes receiving, at a processor and from a first set of artificial neural networks (ANNs), multiple signals representing a first set of ANN output pairs for a first label. A signal representing a second set of ANN output pairs for a second label different from the first label is received at the processor from a second set of ANNs different from the first set of ANNs, substantially concurrently with the first set of ANN output pairs. A first activation function is solved based on the first set of ANN output pairs, and a second activation function is solved based on the second set of ANN output pairs. Loss values are calculated based on the solved activations, and a mask is generated based on at least one ground truth label. A signal, including a representation of the mask, is sent from the processor to each of the sets of ANNs.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 11, 2019Publication date: October 15, 2020Inventors: Vincent POON, Nigel Paul DUFFY, Ravi Kiran Reddy PALLA

Publication number: 20190160236Abstract: An aerosol generator is positioned adjacent to a patient as an attachment to a trocar. The trocar has an entry port for insufflation gas. Aerosol generated by a vibrating element is entrained in the insufflation gas and the mixture is delivered through the trocar. The aerosol may contain a medicament. The trocar may be a conventional trocar. Such trocars are typically used for a camera. The delivery of the aerosolized medicament can occur at the start of the procedure and be delivered in bolus. At the start of the procedure, the peritoneum is being inflated by means of the flow of insufflator gas. This gas flow will help to entrain the aerosolized medicament to the pneumoperitoneum regions. The surgeon can temporarily remove the camera from the trocar port to facilitate insertion and positioning of the aerosolizing unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2018Publication date: May 30, 2019Applicant: Aerosurgical LimitedInventors: Patrick Joseph Power, Conor Paul Duffy

Patent number: 10108681Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for expanding a row or column in an existing report, sourced from a relational database, where a column or row, respectively, of an opposite axis has already been expanded. Such a need often arises in reports sourced from a SQL database, and overcomes the storage-draining need to pre-compute all possible arrangements of data from the database prior to displaying the report. In some embodiments, a client can make a request for a multi-axis expansion, and a server can create filters for use in sub queries, one for each level of expansion in an axis of the report opposite to the axis where expansion is requested, the sub queries can be executed, results sets can be combined/formatted to form a new report, and the new report can be returned to the client for stitching into the existing report.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2017Date of Patent: October 23, 2018Assignee: insightsoftware.com International UnlimitedInventors: Paul Duffy, Amir Kashani
