  • Publication number: 20190070490
Abstract: Disclosed are toy pieces, each toy piece having a body with a first arm and a second arm. The first arm can have a first engagement portion. The second arm can have a second engagement portion. The first arm and second arm can be configured to move relative to one another to transition the toy piece between a resting or disengaged state and a tensioned or engaged state in which the first engagement portion is releasably secured within the second engagement portion. At least one of the first arm and second arm can be biased when the toy piece is in the tensioned state such that an application of an external force to the toy piece above a threshold causes the toy piece to rapidly transition from the tensioned or engaged state to the resting or disengaged state.

  • Publication number: 20180219288
Abstract: A dielectrically loaded rectangular waveguide to air-filled rectangular waveguide adapter and right-angle waveguide probe antenna with a bandwidth greater than 15% of the center frequency of the operating band, as defined by a return loss over the frequency range better than or equal to ?20 dBV. This invention is most relevant to a right-angle coaxial to a dielectrically loaded rectangular waveguide, followed by an air-filled rectangular waveguide transition. The dielectrically loaded rectangular waveguide to air-filled rectangular waveguide adapter is comprised of a relatively narrow dielectrically loaded rectangular waveguide section, a relatively wide air-filled rectangular waveguide section following the dielectrically loaded rectangular waveguide section of equal height, and a right-angle waveguide probe antenna. The probe antenna is comprised of a tapered cylinder that results in an inverted conical shape resembling a V-frame.

  • Publication number: 20180219295
Abstract: A right-angle waveguide probe antenna with a bandwidth greater than 15% of the center frequency of the operating band, as defined by a return loss over the frequency range better than or equal to ?20 dBV. This invention is most relevant to a right-angle coaxial to an air-filled rectangular waveguide transition. The probe antenna is comprised of a flared section followed by a rectangular section resulting in an irregular convex pentagon shape with two right angles at the base which resembles an A-frame on top of a rectangle. The resultant “A-frame probe” can be connected to a coaxial feed cable and extended into a waveguide through an aperture. The A-frame probe operates as a TE10 mode waveguide radiator, and is sized and positioned such that the impedance of the probe antenna is closely matched to the impedance of the waveguide across a wider frequency band.

Abstract: A safety device for a mechanical motion device and a method for protecting a person or object in the vicinity of a mechanical motion device are described herein. The safety device may include: a shroud; a coupling mechanism; and a detection device. The coupling mechanism joins the shroud in a displaceable manner to a mechanical motion device. The detection device is configured for communication with the safety control system of a mechanical motion device. The detection device is capable of detecting misalignment of the shroud from its initial aligned position and/or a collision between the shroud and a person or object. The detection device may send a signal to the safety control system of the mechanical motion device to at least slow the movement of the mechanical motion device before the mechanical motion device reaches the location of the collision of the shroud with an object or person.

  • Patent number: 9776948
Abstract: A process for production of dialkyl succinate from bio-succinic acid feedstock where solid bio-succinic acid is fed to a reactor to react with alkanol by autocatalytic esterification. Products from the reactor including unreacted succinic acid, mono alkyl ester, dialkyl ester, alkanol, water and impurities are sent to a reaction distillation column for esterification of succinic acid and further esterification of mono alkyl ester with upflowing alkanol. The bottoms products from the reaction distillation column including residual succinic acid, mono alkyl ester, dialkyl ester, impurities and alkanol are sent to a bottoms stream separation zone where di-alkyl ester is separated from alkanol, succinic acid, mono alkyl ester and impurities. The tops products from the reaction distillation column including alkanol, water and organic components are sent to a top stream distillation zone where alkanol is separated from water and organic components. The organic components are recycled to the reaction zone column.
