  • Publication number: 20170127645
Abstract: A gravity-fed, animal feeding apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus is equipped with a funnel, a food chute, and at least one feeding pan. The food chute of the apparatus preferably includes a transport tube configured to extend through a conventional chain-link fence gap via a diamond-shaped fitting, and terminate at the feeding pan disposed on the floor within the fenced pen area. The apparatus is configured to direct dry pet food fed into the funnel disposed on the exterior of the fenced pen area to the feeding pan on the interior of the fence. Gravity causes the food in the funnel to fall into the food chute, passing through the fence, and outputting the food to the feeding pan. The feeding pan is equipped with drainage holes to ensure that the dry food does not get wet, and that water does not collect in the feeding pan.

  • Patent number: 9634853
Abstract: A smart power management unit (SPMU) apparatus and method of intelligently switching from a “disconnect mode” to a “connect mode” in regards to power-supplying to a paired downstream load device by programmatically monitoring whether there is change in state of the manual switch of the load device, is provided. The SPMU comprises relay module configured to operate in either operation mode (connect mode) or monitor mode (disconnect mode), and controller module configured to determine the operating mode of relay module. When in monitor mode, relay module is configured to disconnect the power supply from the load device while simultaneously enable a monitoring means configured to monitor a change in state of the manual switch. Upon monitoring a change in state of the manual switch based on a response signal supplied from the monitoring means, the controller module switches the relay module from monitor mode to operation mode.

  • Patent number: 9597488
Abstract: Apparatus for applying rub-on and roll-on topical products such as medications, pain relievers, deodorants, cosmetics, and any other product having a built in applicator to the user's skin surface in hard-to-reach locations without undo strain or injury. The apparatus comprises a chamber assembly and an elongated handle. The chamber assembly comprises a rounded hollow T-shaped body having a protrusion on one side with a threaded inner surface to receive the elongated handle. The elongated handle has a threaded end that is deeper than the protrusion of the chamber assembly. When a container is placed into the chamber assembly from the top section and the elongated handle is hand-tightened, the threaded end comes in contact with the container and holds it securely in place, allowing the user to apply rub-on and roll-on medications and other products to hard-to-reach places of the body without undo strain or injury.

  • Publication number: 20160239915
Abstract: A trading platform for trading financial instruments, and in particular for generating pre-trade prices. In an exemplary embodiment, the trading platform includes computer software modules and provides graphical user interfaces to accept dealer bids and offers, aggregate the dealer positions, generate a pre-trade price, permit dealers to opt-in to a matching process (the sweep), and determine matches by comparing the positions and potential opposing positions. The trading systems and methods may generate a yield curve from the dealer bids and offers which may be used for the valuation of positions and collateral. The trading platform is also capable of matching orders and sending orders to be executed.

  • Publication number: 20160238562
Abstract: In some implementations, a method for validating an acoustic bond-log tool includes having a test fixture including a wellbore casing emulating tubing. An outer tubing emulates a well formation and forms a perimeter of an annulus surrounding the wellbore casing emulating tubing. The wellbore casing tubing is configured with a stepped outer surface emulating different wellbore casing sidewall thicknesses. A dividing structure is coupled in the axial direction to the outer surface of the wellbore casing emulating tubing and to the inner surface of the outer tubing to radially subdivide the annulus into a plurality of hermetically sealable sample sections. Each sample section contains a sample of a material having a known acoustic impedance. The acoustic bond-log tool is validated by comparing a bond-log tool measurement of the acoustic impedance of each sample in a particular sample section to the known acoustic impedance of the sample.
