Abstract: Methods and devices for tissue fixation. A cortical button with a rib between two slotted openings. The rib increases the cortical button structural rigidity without increasing palpability. An adjustable loop construct with two discrete locking passages that provides manageable loop reduction and improved tissue coupling. The adjustable loop construct may be coupled to tissue via a passing construct. An assembly with a reduction bar, a button and an adjustable loop construct, the assembly provided assembled in a first configuration that disassembles to guide steps of tissue fixation. The trigger assembly includes a pair of triggers extending outward from a side of the handheld controller device and configured to move along respective trigger paths. The trigger assembly also includes a guide and coupling assemblies. The guide assembly is disposed inside the housing and includes, for each trigger, a channel that extends at least partially along the trigger path of the trigger. The coupling assembly is disposed inside the housing and is connected to the pair of triggers. The coupling assembly is configured to transfer motion between the pair of triggers such that, when one trigger moves towards the housing along its respective trigger path, the coupling assembly moves the other trigger away from the housing along its trigger path.

  • Patent number: 11927523
Abstract: In flow cytometry, particles (2) can be distinguished between populations (8) by combining n-dimensional parameter data, which may be derived from signal data from a particle, to mathematically achieve numerical results representative of an alteration (48). An alteration may include a rotational alteration, a scaled alteration, or perhaps even a translational alteration. Alterations may enhance separation of data points which may provide real-time classification (49) of signal data corresponding to individual particles into one of at least two populations.

  • Patent number: 11912311
Abstract: A system and method of detecting and mitigating an erratic vehicle by a host vehicle. The method includes gathering sensor information on a calibratable external region surrounding the host vehicle; analyzing the sensor information to detect a target vehicle traveling in a lane and a movement of the target vehicle in the lane; determining whether the movement of the target vehicle in the lane is erratic; if erratic then designating target vehicle as erratic vehicle; assigning a risk score to the erratic vehicle; and implementing a predetermined mitigating action correlating to the assigned risk score to the erratic vehicle. The mitigating action includes one or more of: warning an operator of the host vehicle, warning a vehicle proximal to the host vehicle, and taking at least partial control of the host vehicle to further distance the host vehicle apart from the erratic vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11901153
Abstract: An x-ray apparatus includes a vacuum chamber that includes a window for exit of x-rays. Electrons are generated at a cathode within the vacuum chamber and accelerated toward a target anode associated with the window. An x-ray generating layer is included as a surface of the target anode to receive the electrons emitted by the cathode and to create x-rays. A blocking path blocks over 70% of the free electrons reaching said target anode from continuing on to exit through the window, while allowing x-rays leaving the x-ray generating layer to continue along the selectively blocking path to exit through the window. The x-ray apparatus is capable of operating at low voltage and relatively high power to reduce the necessary shielding and the corresponding weight of the apparatus yet allow more ready absorption of x-rays by items being irradiated.

  • Publication number: 20240045625
Abstract: A printing system uses different color quality values to set quality levels for color printing operations. When creating a calibration for a paper, a color quality attribute is defined that corresponds with the level of color printing quality for the calibration. The resulting calibration is stored with the color quality attribute. The calibration is used to create an ICC profile that is used in color printing operations for the paper. Print jobs may indicate the color quality attribute for the paper for color printing such that the calibration and ICC profile are selected.
