The method further includes determining at least one service identifier of the NAN. The method further includes generating a public action discovery frame comprising the at least one connection setup information element and the at least one service identifier. The method further includes transmitting, at a wireless device, the public action discovery frame.

The second station is discovered through communication over a NAN channel supported by a plurality of neighborhood stations forming a NAN network. The NAN channel has a beaconing operation that provides synchronization. After discovery of the second station, the first station communicates with the second station over the NAN data link channel, to obtain data corresponding to the service of interest.

    Abstract: A payment service is configured to support purchase transactions generated by merchant point-of-sale (POS) devices, wherein each purchase transaction may comprise multiple transaction requests such as authorization requests and capture requests. Each transaction request may be sent to a different one of multiple data centers of the payment service. Upon successfully receiving an acknowledgement from one of the data centers for a transaction request, the POS device designates that data center as the primary data center. Subsequently, all transaction requests for that transaction identify the primary data center, even when the transaction requests are sent to other data centers. At the payment service, the data centers synchronize requests such that the primary data center is informed of all authorizations and is made responsible for performing the capture of the transaction. This allows the primary data center to detect duplicate authorizations and to prevent duplicate captures.

Stations within a neighborhood awareness network (NAN) may determine when to transmit synchronization beacons during a wake-up time based on some priority (e.g., stations with more recent clock updates or earlier time stamps, stations communicating with a larger number of peers or associated with a larger number of NAN device links (NDLs), etc. may transmit beacons earlier in a wake-up window or with a higher probability). Other stations within the NAN may maintain clock synchronization based on the transmitted beacons (e.g., that include recently updated clock information). Additionally or alternatively, a station may signal other stations within a NAN when the station detects disappearance of synchronization beacons (e.g., or loss of clock synchronization). In some cases, the signaling may include requests for the one or more other stations to start or stop beacon transmissions as desired.

The access point and the wireless station may exchange data frames and perform MAC replacement techniques to map the OTA MAC address to the persistent MAC address. In another embodiment, the memory controller is configured to reduce a volume of data stored in the volatile memory device prior to testing the PLP capacitor.
