  • Patent number: 11173094
Abstract: The new Shock Absorber Under Arm Adjustable Height Walking Crutches are standard aluminum adjustable height walking crutches modified with 4 coil springs added under the arm rest, one spring in each crutch pipe below the arm rest. Two per crutch 4 per pair of crutches, the springs are accommodated by a Pipe Spring Adapter which holds the springs in place and also allows the springs to move freely. The crutches are used exactly the same as standard aluminum adjustable height crutches but with the addition of the springs and pipe spring adapters the crutches now have a shock absorber effect under the arm rest. The springs actuate each time the user applies weight to the arm rest therefore alleviating the pain caused to the under arms by standard crutches.

  • Patent number: 11168523
Abstract: A rotary steerable drill string (16) employs a drill bit (10) selected to positively contribute to underpressure in a preselected azimuthal segment of the borehole relative to an opposing azimuthal section. Generally, a high flow velocity of drilling fluid in the selected azimuthal segment relative to in other segments will result in a more pronounced underpressure in the selected azimuthal segment. Drill bit designs which locally enhance the drilling fluid flow velocity are proposed to be employed in the present rotary steerable drill string.

  • Publication number: 20210341397
Abstract: A method for X-ray measurement includes generating and directing an X-ray beam to a sample including at least first and second layers stacked on one another, the X-ray beam incident on a sample location at which the first and second layers include respective first and second high aspect ratio (HAR) structures. X-ray scatter profiles are measured, that are emitted from the sample location in response to the X-ray beam as a function of tilt angle between the sample and the X-ray beam. A shift is estimated, between the first and second layers and a characteristic tilt of the first and second layers, based on the X-ray scatter profiles measured as a function of the tilt angle.

  • Publication number: 20210291433
Abstract: A method of printing an object comprises a first step in which a first region (2) is printed by delivering flowable material from a print nozzle travelling at a first print speed (V1). During a second step, an intermediate region (6) is printed by delivering material from the nozzle travelling (8) for: a first travel distance (D1) at a first travel speed (S1), a second travel distance (D2) at a second travel speed (S2), and a third travel distance (D3) at a third travel speed (S3). In a third step, the nozzle prints a second region 4 by delivering material from the nozzle travelling at a second print speed (V2). The first and third travel speeds (S1, S3) are both greater than the first and second print speeds (V1, V2) and the second travel speed (S2).

The polymers may be associated with the particle and the intermolecular bonding groups may be associated with at least some of the polymers. In some embodiments, at least some of the intermolecular bonding groups may have a different chemical composition and/or chemical property than the polymers. In some embodiments, nanostructures may reversibly associate with each other via the intermolecular bonding groups to form a material. In some such cases, the intermolecular bonding groups on different nanostructures may reversibly associate with each other. In some embodiments, the nanostructures may be designed, such that the energy required to disassociate at least a portion of the nanostructures in the material is greater than the energy required to dissociate a single association between intermolecular bonding groups.

  • Patent number: 11107295
Abstract: Examples herein describe systems and methods for aligning elements, such as conduit, ductwork, and plumbing within a computer-aided design (“CAD”) application. A plugin can provide an element alignment option on a graphical user interface (“GUI”) of the CAD program. An anchor point from which to align elements is selected in the GUI so that the plugin can choose locations within a structure to run multiple elements in parallel alignment. The system can recommend an alignment plane based on the slopes of the selected multiple elements and provide a direction for a run of the multiple elements. The systems retrieve the specifications and parameters of each individual element to determine its spacing among the run of multiple elements. The run of multiple elements is displayed and manipulated by the plugin via the GUI.
