  • Publication number: 20210261859
Abstract: A method for activating and/or deactivating the phosphorescence of a structure is disclosed. The structure may include a first and a second material, wherein a phosphor is admixed with the first material and oxygen is present in the region of the phosphor. The second material may be oxygen-impermeable at an ambient temperature and, in the oxygen-impermeable state, act as an oxygen barrier between the first material and a surrounding environment. To activate the phosphorescence, in a first activation step, oxygen present in the structure is photochemically deactivated by irradiating the structure with light of a first characteristic, and, in a second activation step, the phosphorescence is activated by irradiating the structure with light of a second characteristic. To deactivate the phosphorescence, oxygen is introduced into the structure by heating the structure and/or by irradiating the structure with light of a third characteristic.

  • Publication number: 20210221951
Abstract: The invention is related to a method for preparing polyether polyols, wherein the method comprises the steps of: a) providing a crude polyether polyols and a base catalyst; b) mixing the crude polyether polyols mixture with an acid thereby providing a neutralized polyether polyols mixture; c) removing water from the neutralized polyether polyols mixture, thereby providing a dehydrated neutralized polyether polyols mixture comprising polyether polyols and a suspension of the crystallized salts suspended in the polyether polyols; d) separating the polyether polyols from the crystallized salt by filtration resulting in a filtration cake comprising crystallized salts and remaining polyether polyols around the crystals; e) removing polyether polyols from the filter, leaving a filtration cake; f) redissolving the filtration cake obtaining a mixture of a salt solution and the remaining polyether polyols; and separating and removing the remaining polyether polyols from the salt solution.

  • Patent number: 10692757
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include photoresist materials and methods of patterning photoresist materials. In an embodiment a photoresist material comprises a plurality of molecular glasses (MGs). In an embodiment, a glass transition temperature Tg of the photoresist material is less than an activation temperature needed to deblock blocking groups from the MGs. Embodiments include a method of patterning a photoresist material that comprises exposing the photoresist material with ultraviolet radiation. The method may also comprise, performing a first post exposure bake at a first temperature, that is less than the activation temperature needed to deblock blocking groups from the MGs, and performing a second post exposure bake at a second temperature that is approximately equal to or greater than the activation temperature needed to deblock blocking groups from the MGs.

  • Patent number: 10518106
Abstract: The present invention discloses a device and a method for controlling growth of hair on human skin with low doses of electromagnetic radiation, and a device for carrying out the method. In the method, radiation of a suitable spectrum is applied to the skin, in one or more pulses of between 1 and 100 ms, and with maximum fluencies on the skin between 1 and 12 J/cm2. By applying such low fluencies and at controlled pulse durations, follicles of the hairs are induced to the catagen phase. This means that the growth of the hairs of those follicles will stop. Although the method is not primarily aimed at immediate hair removal, hairs may be shed subsequently. In any case, further growth may be stopped for prolonged periods of time. The main advantage of the method is that the risk of damage to the skin is minimized.

  • Patent number: 9165004
Abstract: Methods for creation of a content association system in which a client application communicates to a distributed hash table network an association between one piece of content in a client's library and one other piece of content in the client's library are described. The client creates a hash for a first file in the library and a reference to a second file in the library. The client stores the reference to the second file in the distributed hash table at a node corresponding to the hash. To discover files associated with a file in a peer's library, the peer creates a hash for a file in its library and retrieves references to other files from the distributed hash table.
