  • Patent number: 11030026
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided to detect error conditions and otherwise monitor the status of request data object and network response assets and related systems to allow for the efficient movement of network resources and other resources in high-volume network environments. In some example implementations, otherwise unrelated request data objects and their related parameters, along with otherwise unrelated network response asset systems are depicted on a single interface such that pairings between request data objects and network response assets, and other status information can be readily viewed. Some example implementations contemplate the use of location data in connection with error detection and remediation. Some example implementations also contemplate the establishment and use of a communication channel between an interface system and a system associated with a request data object and/or a network response asset upon the detection of an error condition.

  • Patent number: 10994318
Abstract: A pinch roll delivers a respective rolled product. A control device opens the pinch roll at a respective trigger time and at a respective transport speed of the respective rolled product. The control device determines the respective trigger time and/or the respective transport speed using a model that depends on a coefficient of friction. After opening the pinch roll, a measuring device detects iteratively a position or a derivation in time of the position of the respective rolled product. The detected positions or the detected derivations in time of the position are provided to the control device. The control device in dependency on the positions or the derivations in time of the position updates the coefficient of friction and uses the updated coefficient of friction for determining the respective trigger time and/or the respective transport speed for the next rolled product delivered by the pinch roll.

  • Publication number: 20210076309
Abstract: A method and system for joining a Wi-Fi network with a mobile device based on historical device behavior includes detecting, using a mobile device, a new Wi-Fi network connection is available for connection by the mobile device. The method and system includes determining that the new connection meets a first connection threshold based on first connection factors. The method and system further includes analyzing historical data regarding acceptance of Wi-Fi network connections for the device. The analysis of the historical data is used to determine a pattern for accepting a connection. The method and system includes determining when to accept the new Wi-Fi network connection based on the new connection meeting the first connection threshold based on the first connection factors, and the second connection threshold based on the historical data.

  • Patent number: 10618091
Abstract: During rolling of front sections of rolling material in a rear group of roll stands of a rolling mill, rear sections of the rolling material are rolled in the front group of roll stands. A run-out speed with which the rolling material is exiting the front group of roll stands is detected. A run-in speed with which the rolling material is entering the rear group of roll stands is detected. A rolling speed with which the rear group of roll stands is driven is controlled by a controller such that a relation of the run-in speed to the run-out speed equals a predetermined value. The predetermined value is kept constant until a time point at which a tail end of the rolling material reaches a predetermined location upstream of the front group of roll stands, and is changed according to a predetermined function after the time point.

  • Publication number: 20180107761
Abstract: Key information is locked within unstructured or semi-structured electronic documents or structured databases. Current user interfaces are either designed for information professionals and require training and high skill levels, or provide access to single structured data sources. Query suggestion technology provides a way that occasional users can get high value from unstructured or semi-structured data or heterogeneous structured data, or a combination of unstructured or semi-structured and structured data. In contrast to search technology, the user obtains structured results, that can be manipulated similar to spreadsheets, or via interactive visualization. Queries suggestions are ranked based on the terms or concepts entered by the user in addition to standard ranking methods such as ranking by frequency of usage.

  • Patent number: 9776230
Abstract: A billet (2) is rolled to a rod (3) in a rolling mill. The rod (3) exits the rolling mill with a finishing temperature (TE1). A rear laser measurement device (8) arranged downstream of the rolling mill detects the head end and the speed (v) of the rod (3). The detected speed (v) of the rod (3) is integrated to its length and an instantaneous length (L) of the rod (3) is determined. Dependent on the determined instantaneous length (L) of the rod (3), cutting commands (S) to a rear shears (5) arranged downstream of the rolling mill are provided for cutting the rod (3) in sections (6) of predetermined length (L0). The sections (6) of the rod (3) are cooled down in a cooling bed (7).

  • Patent number: 9630228
Abstract: A system for maintaining a continuous speed in a long rolling mill is provided that includes a plurality of guide rollers that feed a billet product from a caster to an entry roll stand along a mill pass line to an exit roll stand. Also, the system includes a plurality of gauges positioned at a plurality of locations along the mill pass line, the gauges perform speed measurement of the billet product passing along the guide rollers. Furthermore, the system includes a logic controller that receives the speed measurement and maintains a speed relationship where the speed between the caster and the entry roll stand is constant as well as the exit speed of the end roll stand is also constant.

  • Patent number: 9326653
Abstract: A surface treating appliance includes a surface treating head rotatably connected to a yoke, and a main body pivotably moveable relative to the yoke about a pivot axis between an upright position and a reclined position. A retaining mechanism is provided for inhibiting rotation of the head relative to the yoke when the main body is in the upright position. The retaining mechanism includes a locking member which is moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position for inhibiting rotation of the head relative to the yoke, and an actuator for urging the locking member towards its deployed position. To provide a compact appliance, the actuator moves with the main body about the pivot axis to urge the locking member towards its deployed position as the main body is moved to the upright position.
