Abstract: A method for joining two carpet segments, each carpet segment having an underside and at least one edge. The method comprises abutting one edge of one carpet segment with one edge of the other carpet segment; positioning a length of seam tape under the abutting edges, and activating the adhesive to secure the seam tape to the undersides of both carpet segments. The seam tape comprises an elongated base layer that is resilient in a transverse direction and an adhesive applied to the base layer. The adhesive may comprise a hot-melt thermoplastic adhesive. The base layer may comprise a resilient textile or fabric, such as cotton denim and elastane.

Abstract: Portable battery-operated fan comprises a two-part base of which the lower part can be detached to allow the fan to stand on its own or attached to permit the fan to be placed in a cup or bottle holder. A facsimile of an element of sports apparatus such as a golf ball, basketball, or bowling pin is pivotally attached to the fan and provides a mounting place for a DC motor which is driven by a battery in the lower base. A shrouded fan is attached to an end or a side of the sports apparatus facsimile so as to provide cooling air flow on demand.

Abstract: A landscaping edger includes a top face, bottom face, front face, rear face, and first and second end faces. The first and second end faces are angled inwardly toward each other from the front face to the rear face. The top face has a three dimensional topographical definition with a plurality of projections and a plurality of reliefs recessed from the projections. The entire top face is sloped so that gravity will drain water off the top face.

Abstract: A balanced stencil foil tensioning frame with a foil alignment fixture removes the need for the complex air/bladder arrangement of conventional systems by pivoting side members to engage foil. With less components, the tensioning frame system is reliable and light weight with few moving parts. In one embodiment, a base member can receive a stencil foil and a frame top can lock into the base member, depressing the edges of the stencil foil. The amount of provided depression can adjust the tension of the foil. In another embodiment, a plurality of tension segments can move in a linear direction to create a uniform foil tension. The alignment fixture can be wall mounted to hold foil in a vertical position. This allows for consistent alignment and attachment of foil to the tensioning frame.

Abstract: A lever operated compression latch has an elongated, hook-ended pawl carrying a longitudinal slot, and is cam guided and pin rotated while translated to engage and withdraw from a keeper cup. The compound movement of the pawl includes a lateral translation towards the keeper cup while rotating there into, followed by a lateral withdrawal to exert a compression force between the latch body which is attached to a door and the keeper cup which is attached to a door frame. A series of interconnected links is operated by a lever handle to fold into one another to provide a compact envelope when the latch is closed and to expand outwardly to open the latch and disengage the pawl from the keeper when operated by the lever. Of this series of links, a pair of release links operates in contact with one another, and rotates on respective individual pivot points to extend outwardly from the latch envelope to engage a striker plate portion of the keeper cup.

Such a system can include a vehicle seat that can have a plurality of adjustable aspects, such as a headrest, seat back, armrests, lumbar support, etc. The system can also include display component that can visually present one or more options associated with settings for the vehicle seat. Additionally, there can be an input component that can receive one or more selections of the one or more options, and there can be a control component that can determine one or more adjustments based at least in part on the one or more selections. The vehicle seat can adjust a subset of the plurality of aspects based at least in part on the one or more determined adjustments.

Abstract: A locking apparatus for a seat assembly for a vehicle is provides and includes a latching component attached to one of a stationary part or a movable part of a seat assembly, a receiving component disposed on the other of the stationary part or the movable part of a seat assembly, wherein the latching component engages the receiving component, and an activation component that activates the latching component. Upon activation of the locking device, the latching component engages the receiving component thereby locking the movable part to the stationary part in a collapsed state thereby reducing vibrational noise caused by the movable part during operation of the vehicle.

Abstract: One or more embodiments of techniques or systems for mobile device to vehicle integration are provided herein. An armrest can include a docking station for a mobile device and an integration component can be configured to communicatively couple the mobile device with an input component, multimedia component, display component, fob component, warning component, etc. This integration enables an occupant of a vehicle to seamlessly interact with the mobile device through features of the vehicle, rather than through a mobile device interface. In one or more embodiments, mobile device data or mobile device applications are used to supplement integration, such as through voice commands, etc. For example, a warning can be provided if it is determined that the vehicle is speeding. As another example, personalized multimedia settings can be stored and programmed to the vehicle when the mobile device is docked.

Abstract: One or more embodiments of techniques or systems for heath monitoring or monitoring one or more health parameters of a user are provided herein. Systems or components of a vehicle may monitor one or more vital or health parameters of an occupant of a vehicle, driver, passenger, etc. For example, a seat may have sensors embedded within that may measure characteristics or attributes associated with the occupant. In one example, a scale may be integrated with the seat to monitor a weight of an occupant on a day to day basis. As another example, a seatbelt or one or more portions of the seat may have heart rate monitors that check a heart rate of an occupant. Additionally, warnings or alerts may be provided when a signature is detected, such as an abnormal heart beat, etc. In this manner, health monitoring may be provided.

The information may be text, video, audio, etc. The information may be sent to a reaction service, which may return an annotation of the information. The annotation may be attached to the information to create an annotated document. The annotated document may be communicated to other users. Additionally, the annotated document may be stored in a way that associated the annotated document with the user who created or captured the information. The ability to capture information, obtain annotations to the information, and propagate the annotated information may facilitate the creation of social media, such as social network postings or online photo albums.
