  • Publication number: 20090271877
Abstract: Systems and methods for securing an embedded system are disclosed. An embedded system comprises a hardware subsystem including physical components of the embedded system, a software subsystem including a software application and a program code, and a programmable logic subsystem programmed to monitor one or more parts of the hardware and software subsystems and interactions thereof to detect tampering of the embedded system. The programmable logic subsystem is capable of being activated by a security function in the software subsystem or by a special hardware component in the hardware subsystem. The activation of the programmable logic subsystem facilitate a coupling of the hardware, software, and the programmable logic subsystems. The program code can be used to dynamically re-program the programmable logic subsystem.

  • Patent number: 7603458
Abstract: A status monitoring and reporting mechanism which distinguishes more significant events and prominently displays events pertaining to nodes, interconnections, and other network entities which may present problems, and to suppresses benign messages which may not require immediate attention, provides an “at a glance” view of overall system health. By processing and displaying aggregate status events from a plurality of agent components to highlight the most severe and critical events from among a large volume of general status events allows an operator to quickly diagnose potential problems before detrimental results occur, and helps maintain a general efficient system health by isolating less efficient areas to allow for timely remedial action prior to failure. Various agents disseminated in a storage area network determine and report status events back to a central server. The server receives, aggregates, and processes the status events to display a status array indicative of overall system health.

  • Publication number: 20090193039
Abstract: A process for automating data mining operations by defining data objects including one or more database table objects and storing the data objects in a metadata store maintained in a computer storage. Data manipulation operations on the meta data objects are defined and descriptions of the data manipulation operations associated with the data objects as metadata stored in the metadata store. A data execution component accesses the data manipulation operations and sequentially performs data manipulations operations on data within the database tables corresponding to the database table objects.

  • Patent number: 7501912
Abstract: A method and circuit matches a device to n filters, wherein each filter is a SAW filter, BAW filter, or FBAR filter. The method and system: (a) provide an inductor or transmission line connected between a common terminal and ground; (b) provide a plurality of capacitance values (C1m, C2m, . . . , Cnm) each corresponding to one of the n filters; and (c) for each of the n filters, directly connect a first terminal of the filter to either: (1) the common terminal, or (2) a first terminal of a corresponding capacitor having the correspondence capacitance value calculated in step (b), where a second terminal of the corresponding capacitor is directly connected to the common terminal.

  • Publication number: 20090058026
Abstract: A collapsible support frame has a front frame, a rear frame, and a locking mechanism connected to the front and rear frames. The locking mechanism has a lever and a base member. In the locked position, the lever and the base member engage to pull the front and rear frames towards each other. This places tension on the front and rear frames and holds the frame structure in an open or unfolded position for use. In the unlocked position, the lever and the base member separate from each other. This releases the tension placed on the front and rear frames and allows the frame structure to collapse or fold in on itself for storage.

  • Publication number: 20080203804
Abstract: A collapsible support frame includes a plurality of segmented legs pivotally connected to an inner surface of a collar, and are held together by an elastic cord. The legs pivot between a folded and a deployed position. In the folded position, the legs segments form a bundle to facilitate storage or transport. Portions of the legs segments may seat within leg seats formed in the outer surface of the collar. In the deployed position, the legs pivot to contact leg support seats formed at angles in an inner surface of the collar. After contact, each leg extends in a different direction supported by its respective leg support seat. The elastic cord provides tension that keeps the leg segments together in the deployed position, and prevents the leg segments from becoming lost or separated in the folded position.

  • Patent number: 7332985
Abstract: The film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) device comprises a substrate, an acoustic Bragg reflector over the substrate, a piezoelectric element over the acoustic Bragg reflector, and a remote-side electrode over the piezoelectric element. The acoustic Bragg reflector comprises a metal Bragg layer juxtaposed with a plastic Bragg layer. The large ratio between the acoustic impedances of the plastic material of the plastic Bragg layer and the metal of the metal Bragg layer provides sufficient acoustic isolation between the FBAR and the substrate for the frequency response of the FBAR device to exhibit minor, if any, spurious artifacts arising from undesirable acoustic coupling between the FBAR and the substrate.
