Patent number: 11967968Abstract: A system includes a plurality of digital-to-analog converter (DAC) channels. Each DAC channel includes a current control circuit which receives a start limit signal or an end limit signal. The current control circuit reduces an output current limit of the channel responsive to the start limit signal and increases the output current limit responsive to the end limit signal. Each channel includes a current sensor circuit adapted to measure the output current of the channel and provide a channel over-current alert signal if the output current rises above a high current limit. The system includes a controller which asserts the start limit signal if the number of channels exceeding the high current limit is greater than a maximum allowable number and asserts the end limit signal if the number of channels exceeding the high current limit is less than the maximum allowable number minus a hysteresis value.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2022Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Texas Instruments IncorporatedInventors: Paul Thomas Frost, Aditya Vighnesh Ramakanth Bommireddipalli, Hugo Cheung, Abdullah Yilmaz, Ruben Antonio Vasquez

Patent number: 11944356Abstract: A control member for mounting to an end of an access tube includes a body that defines a proximal end and a distal end spaced from each other along a central axis. The control member defines a bore extending between the proximal and distal ends along the central axis, a handle portion that extends to the proximal end, and a mounting formation that extends to the distal end. The mounting formation includes an insertion portion that is insertable within the access tube and a lip that is opposed to the insertion portion so as to define a receptacle configured to receive an end portion of the access tube.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2019Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: Medos International SarlInventors: Roman Lomeli, John C. Voellmicke, Paul S. Maguire, Clara Cheung

Patent number: 8665571Abstract: Apparatus and methods for integrated circuit protection are provided. In one embodiment, an integrated circuit (IC) includes a first pad, a second pad, a third pad, a first protection subcircuit coupled between the first pad and a common node, a second protection subcircuit coupled between the second pad and the common node, and a third protection subcircuit coupled between the third pad and the common node. The first, second, and third protection subcircuits each include one or more building blocks for maintaining the voltage of each of the pads within a predefined safe range, as well as to maintain the voltage between each of the pads within acceptable limits. A portion of the building blocks used to provide transient signal protection can be shared between pads, thereby reducing the area of the pad protection circuit relative to a scheme using a separate stack of building blocks for each pad.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2011Date of Patent: March 4, 2014Assignee: Analog Devices, Inc.Inventors: Javier A Salcedo, Paul Cheung

Patent number: 7262996Abstract: A programmable soft-start control circuit having two memory registers for regulating the ramp-up time period of charging current in a charge pump of an integrated circuit. The two memory registers are programmed to provide two different soft-start settings for two distinct charge pump turn-on conditions, initial power-up and flash programming. Charge pump feedback logic is employed to detect the charge pump turn-on condition and activate the proper pre-programmed soft-start setting loaded in the memory registers.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2005Date of Patent: August 28, 2007Assignee: Micron Technology, Inc.Inventor: Paul Cheung
