  • Patent number: 5683958
Abstract: There are provided compositions of certain polyoxyalkylene alkylamine surfactants having eye irritation reduced by the addition of an effective amount of a sulfated polyoxyalkylene alkylphenol, alcohol sulfate, polyoxyalkylene alcohol sulfate, mono- or dialcohol phosphate mono- or di-(polyoxyalkylene alcohol) phosphate, mono-or di- (polyoxyalkylene alkylphenol) phosphate, polyoxyalkylene alkylphenol carboxylate or polyoxyalkylene alcohol carboxylate surfactant. Also provided are pesticidal, particularly herbicidal, compositions comprising polyoxyalkylene alkylamine surfactants having eye irritation reduced by addition of these eye irritation reducing compounds.

  • Patent number: 5049311
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an alkyl group, M.sup.+ is a cation, R.sub.2 is an alkylene oxide and n is an integer from 1 to 4. Surfactant compositions containing these novel compounds, the process of preparing these novel compounds as well as the methods of using these surfactant compounds in enhanced oil recovery, as emulsifiers, in emulsion polymerization, as hydrotropes, in foamed drilling fluids, as dye carriers, as textile detergents, as foaming agents for concrete formation and as fiber lubricants are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4139546
Abstract: An anionic silicone defoamer having the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein: R is alkyl;X is 1 to 20;Y is 1 to 10;Z is 2 to 4, and;M is a monovalent cation. The anionic silicone defoamer is made, for instance, by reacting dimethyldichlorosilane, trimethylchlorosilane, and beta-cyanoethyl methyldichlorosilane in the presence of aqueous sodium hydroxide. Dry detergent compositions containing the present anionic silicone composition exhibit reduced foaming, even after several months of storage.
