  • Patent number: 7708497
Abstract: A floating platform system comprises first and second outer longitudinal beam members securing a truss frame having a plurality of truss elements. The floating platform system may further include at least one biasing device exerting a force on the longitudinal beam members and/or the truss frame. The floating platform system may further include a platform interface and/or at least one flotation device secured to the longitudinal beam members and/or the truss frame. The floating platform system may further include a plurality of inner longitudinal beam members interposed between the platform interface and/or the flotation device and the outer longitudinal beam members and/or the truss frame.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 25, 2006
Date of Patent: May 4, 2010
    Assignee: Waterfront Construction, Inc.

  • Patent number: 5707172
Abstract: A floating wave attenuator constructed to float and provide a breakwater to attenuate waves or the like. The wave attenuator includes an elongated pipe closed at its ends and attached to large, heavy deflector plates that extend downwardly and connect at their bottom ends to form a V-shaped configuration. The deflector plates are open on their ends to allow water therebetween to act as ballast and assist in retarding up and down movement of the wave attenuator in response to wave action. A deck structure is mounted to the top of the closed pipe to provide a walkway over the wave attenuator.

  • Patent number: 5275505
Abstract: The piston rod of a lift cylinder unit on a boat lift is selectively locked from extending or retracting by a locking mechanism having a clamping ring which is sleeved on the piston rod and is biased into locking position by a compression spring engaging a piston in a locking cylinder. This cylinder is selectively supplied with pressurized water to compress the spring and thereby release the clamping ring. Hydraulic lines extend to the lift cylinder and locking cylinder from a control manifold located adjacent the boat lift for remotely operating the lift and the locking mechanism.
