Abstract: New substituted triazolylmethyl tert.-butyl carbinols of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkylalkyl or optionally substituted aralkyl,X represents hydrogen or halogen andY represents halogen,and the acid addition salts and metal salt complexes thereof, a process for the preparation of said novel compounds, their use as plant protection agents and as intermediate products for the synthesis of other plant protection agents.

Abstract: Compound which are azolyl-thioether derivatives of the general formula ##STR1## in which A represents a nitrogen atom or a CH group,B represents a CO or CH(OH) group,m is 0 or 2,R.sup.1 represents an optionally substituted phenyl radical andR.sup.2 represents an optionally substituted cycloalkyl radical or a grouping of the general formula ##STR2## wherein X and Y are identical or different and represent a hydrogen or halogen atom,Z represent an alkyl, optionally substituted phenyl, optionally substituted phenoxy, optionally substituted phenylthio, optionally substituted benzyloxy, optionally substituted benzylthio, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkoxy, halogenoalkylthio, alkoxycar-onyl or cyano radical, andn is 0 or 1,and the acid addition salts and metal salt complexes thereof, are novel and prepared by several processes described and find use as fungicides and as agents for regulating plant growth.

Abstract: 1-Vinyltriazole compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is alkyl, substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or substituted aryl;R.sup.2 is alkyl;R.sup.3 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, substituted cycloalkenyl, alkenyl, aryl or substituted aryl; orR.sup.2 and R.sup.3, together with the carbon to which they are bonded, represent cycloalkenyl, substituted cycloalkenyl, cycloalkyl or substituted cycloalkyl;X is the group ##STR2## or, alternatively, X may represent a keto group provided that when X is a keto group R.sup.1 is alkyl, substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, or substituted cycloalkyl;R.sup.4 is hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl, substituted aralkyl, acyl, carbamoyl or substituted carbamoyl;R.sup.5 is hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl or substituted aralkyl;and acid addition salts and metal salt complexes thereof; are outstandingly effective plant growth regulants and as fungicides.

Abstract: New 3-substituted 1-azolyl-3-methyl-1-phenoxy-butan-2-ones and -ols of the general formula ##STR1## in which Az represents 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl, 1,2,4-triazol-4-yl or imidazol-1-yl,B represents the keto group or the CH(OH) group,Y represents oxygen or sulphur,R represents halogenoalkyl, optionally substituted phenyl or optionally substituted benzyl, or provided Y represents sulphur, may represent alkyl andX.sup.1, X.sup.2 and X.sup.3 are selected independently and each represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, halogenoalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphonyl, nitro, cyano, alkoxycarbonyl or optionally substituted phenyl,are obtained if halogenoether ketones are reacted with 1,2,4-triazole or imidazole in the presence of a diluent and of an acid-binding agent, and, if appropriate, the keto derivatives thus obtained are reduced.

Abstract: According to the present invention 1-hydroxyethyl azole compounds are provided for in a process characterized by reacting an oxirane of the general formula ##STR1## in which R represents an alkyl radical, an optionally substituted cycloalkyl radical or an optionally substituted phenyl radical,Y represents a grouping --OCH.sub.2 --, --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.dbd.CH--,Z represents a halogen atom, an alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy or halogenoalkylthio radical, an optionally substituted phenyl radical, an optionally substituted phenoxy radical, an optionally substituted phenylalkyl radical or an optionally substituted phenylalkoxy radical andm is 0, 1, 2 or 3,with an azole of the general formula ##STR2## in which X represents a nitrogen atom or a CH group.

Abstract: Fungicidally active novel substituted azolylethyl oximinoalkyl ethers of the formula ##STR1## in which A is a nitrogen atom or the CH group,R.sup.1 is optionally substituted phenyl,R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each independently is hydrogen, alkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, andR.sup.5 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, optionally substituted phenyl or optionally substituted phenylalkyl,or addition products thereof with acids or metal salts.

Abstract: Hydroxyalkinyl-azolyl derivatives of the formula ##STR1## in which A is a nitrogen atom or the CH group,R is optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl,R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, or optionally substituted benzyl,R.sup.2 is hydrogen or methyl, andX is hydrogen, bromine or iodine,or addition products thereof with acids or metal salts exhibit fungicidal activity. Abstract: 1-Phenoxy-2-pyridinyl(pyrimidinyl)-alkanols of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents alkyl, optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted aralkyl,X represents a nitrogen atom or the CH group,Y represents halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, halogenoalkyl, alkylthio, or an optionally substituted phenyl, phenoxy, phenylalkoxy or phenylalkyl radical, andn represents 0 or an integer from 1 to 5, the Y's being selected independently of one another when n is 2, 3, 4 or 5,in the form of the free base, a salt or a metal salt complex thereof, which possess fungicidal properties.

Abstract: A benzyl-pyrimidinylalkyl-ether of the formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, andX.sup.1, X.sup.2 and X.sup.3 each independently is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy, halogenoalkylthio, cyano, optionally substituted phenoxy, optionally substituted phenylalkyl or optionally substituted phenylalkoxy,or an acid addition salt or metal salt complex thereof, which possesses fungicidal and plant growth-regulating properties. The corresponding pyrimidinyl-carbinols are also new.

Abstract: N-Sulphenylated ureas of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 to R.sup.6 each independently is hydrogen, halogen, nitro, cyano, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylmercapto, trihalogenomethyl-, trihalogenomethoxy or trihalogenomethylmercapto,R.sup.7 is hydrogen or alkyl, andn is 0, 1, 2 or 3,which possess fungicidal properties.

Abstract: 5-Aryloxy-5-azolyl-3,3-dimethylpent-1-en-4-ones and -ols of the formula ##STR1## in which Ar is an optionally substituted aryl group,Az is a 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl, 1,2,4-triazol-4-yl or imidazol-1-yl group, andB is a keto group of a CH(OH) grouping,or addition products thereof with physiologically acceptable acids or metal salts are suitable for use as plant protection agents, and can be employed with particularly good success for combating those fungi which cause powdery mildew diseases, thus for combating Erysiphe species, Sphaerotheca species and Podosphaera species, and for combating diseases of rice.

Abstract: A fungicidal composition comprising a fungicidally effective amount of an alkinyl-azole derivative of the formula ##STR1## in which A is a nitrogen atom or the CH group,R.sup.1 is an optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted aryloxy group,R.sup.2 is an alkyl group which is optionally substituted by halogen, or an optionally substituted aryl group,X is a hydrogen, bromine or iodine atom, andn is 0 or 1or an acid addition salt or metal salt complex thereof, in admixture with a diluent.
