  • Publication number: 20220002762
Abstract: Methods for production of ethanol, distiller's corn oil, and enhanced co-products are disclosed. Methods include obtaining a mixture of one or more co-products of an alcohol production process, which may include wet cake, performing hydrolysis of polysaccharides in the mixture to generate fermentable sugars, fermenting the fermentable sugars in the mixture to produce alcohol, distilling the mixture to remove alcohol from the mixture thereby producing alcohol-containing distillate and enhanced whole stillage, removing released oil from the fermented mixture before distillation and/or from the enhanced whole stillage after distillation, and recovering enhanced wet distiller's grains, enhanced thin stillage, and/or enhanced dried distiller's grains. Compositions disclosed herein include enhanced dried distiller's grains having a cmde protein content of at least 45% on a dry weight basis and having a total fat content of less than 10% on a dry weight basis.

  • Patent number: 10588637
Abstract: A method of treating a vessel, such as sclerotherapy, includes moving a short balloon catheter to a position at which a compliant extra-luminal balloon is outside of the vessel at an occlusion site, and between the vessel and a non-compliant bearing surface. The vessel is occluded at the occlusion site by inflating the compliant extra-luminal balloon of the balloon catheter, and bearing an outer surface of the balloon against the vessel and the non-compliant bearing surface. The vessel is medically treated upstream from the occlusion site. The short balloon catheter includes a wire guide lumen.

  • Patent number: 10000320
Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure include a bottle cork with a built-in removal mechanism. The bottle cork may include a cork body having a hollow sleeve positioned therein, the hollow sleeve housing a mini-corkscrew, the mini-corkscrew having a corkscrew end extending toward a bottom surface of the cork body and an end opposite the corkscrew end; a gas cartridge configured to be punctured by the end of the mini-corkscrew opposite the corkscrew end; and a knob top attached to the gas cartridge, such that when the knob top is rotated, the gas cartridge is pierced by the end of the mini-corkscrew opposite the corkscrew end while the corkscrew end is drawn into and through the bottom surface of the cork body. The pressure exerted by the pierced gas cartridge may force the bottle cork out of a bottle, thus negating the need for an external cork removal tool.

  • Publication number: 20070286101
Abstract: A conference system operates to provide conference capabilities for discussion groups that include multiple members. The members provide registration information to identify themselves as well as their communication device. An initiating group member forms groups of registered and unregistered members. When a conference is desired, the initiating group member of a discussion group sends a request to the conference system, which subsequently provides the request to each group member. Group members are validated and joined to the conference without the need of prior coordination or exchange of access codes. Messages may be created and stored for all members of the group or those members unable to participate in the conference. The messages may be controlled by the initiating group member or other members. Members belonging to more than one discussion group having concurrent conferences may participate in all or any desired conferences at the same time.
