  • Patent number: 10404974
Abstract: An audio-visual system includes an audio source configured to produce multiple audio. The system includes one or more multi-view (MV) pixels, each configured to emit beamlets in different directions in a beamlet coordinate system. The system includes a processor that receives a specification of multiple listening/viewing zones located in a listening/viewing zone coordinate system. The processor associates multiple audio and visual contents with the multiple listening/viewing zones, respectively, and determines an audio mapping that translates between the listening/viewing zone coordinate system and the audio source and a visual mapping that translates between the listening/viewing zone coordinate system and the beamlet coordinate system. For each of multiple audio generated from the multiple audio contents, the processor, using the audio mapping, identifies an audio parameter value to produce the audio at a corresponding listening/viewing zone.

  • Patent number: 10353535
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for managing a multi-view display, including user interface techniques for manipulating viewing zone information and assigning content to viewing zones in the context of the viewing area. The multi-view display system may be calibrated to a coordinate system of the viewing area. The coordinate system can be based on the physical dimensions of the viewing area, a model or other representation of the viewing area, and/or characteristics detected by a sensing system observing the viewing area. A zone management device provide a user interface showing a representation of the viewing area along with representations of established viewing zones rendered in context within the viewing area. User interface elements allow a user to add, remove, manipulate, configure viewing zones, and/or assign content to viewing zones. • Publication number: 20190175051
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing a set of multiple serially acquired magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) free induction decay (FID) frames from a multi-frame MRS acquisition series from a region of interest (ROI) in a subject, and for providing a post-processed MRS spectrum. Processing parameters are dynamically varied while measuring results to determine the optimal post-processed results. Spectral regions opposite water from chemical regions of interest are evaluated and used in at least one processing operation. Frequency shift error is estimated via spectral correlation between free induction decay (FID) frames and a reference spectrum. Multiple groups of FID frames within the acquired set are identified to different phases corresponding with a phase step cycle of the acquisition. Baseline correction is also performed via rank order filter (ROF) estimate and a polynomial fit.

  • Patent number: 10285622
Abstract: An MR Spectroscopy (MRS) system and approach is provided for diagnosing painful and non-painful discs in chronic, severe low back pain patients (DDD-MRS). A DDD-MRS pulse sequence generates and acquires DDD-MRS spectra within intervertebral disc nuclei for later signal processing and diagnostic analysis. An interfacing DDD-MRS signal processor receives output signals of the DDD-MRS spectra acquired and is configured to optimize signal-to-noise ratio by an automated system that selectively conducts optimal channel selection, phase and frequency correction, and frame editing as appropriate for a given acquisition series. A diagnostic processor calculates a diagnostic value for the disc based upon a weighted factor set of criteria that uses MRS data extracted from the acquired and processed MRS spectra for multiple chemicals that have been correlated to painful vs. non-painful discs. A display provides an indication of results for analyzed discs as an overlay onto a MRI image of the lumbar spine.

  • Publication number: 20190119370
Abstract: The present disclosure provides modified antibodies which contain an antibody or antibody fragment (AB) modified with a masking moiety (MM). Such modified antibodies can be further coupled to a cleavable moiety (CM), resulting in activatable antibodies (AAs), wherein the CM is capable of being cleaved, reduced, photolysed, or otherwise modified. AAs can exhibit an activatable conformation such that the AB is more accessible to a target after, for example, removal of the MM by cleavage, reduction, or photolysis of the CM in the presence of an agent capable of cleaving, reducing, or photolysing the CM. The disclosure further provides methods of making and using such modified antibodies and activatable antibodies.

  • Patent number: 10269279
Abstract: A display system includes one or more multi-view (MV) pixels, each configured to emit beamlets in different directions in a beamlet coordinate system. The display system includes an input node which receives a specification of multiple viewing zones located relative to the MV pixels in a viewing zone coordinate system, and a processor coupled to the input node. The processor associates multiple contents with the multiple viewing zones, respectively, and determines a mapping that translates between the viewing zone coordinate system and the beamlet coordinate system. For each of multiple images generated from the multiple contents, the processor, using the mapping, identifies a bundle of beamlets from each of the MV pixels directed to one viewing zone to form the image. The processor outputs control signaling that defines color and brightness of each of the beamlets in each bundle to project the corresponding image to the corresponding viewing zone.

  • Patent number: 10264247
Abstract: A multi-view display is a display capable of simultaneously showing different images to viewers that see the display from different locations. Viewers do not see the images intended for other viewers at other locations. A multi-view display in accordance with some embodiments of the present invention comprises a light source with a light-emitting aperture that emits light whose direction of propagation can be controlled by a controller. An aperture filter mounted on the aperture forms one or more visible images. Different viewers see different visible images based on characteristics of the light such as color and/or polarization. In some embodiments, the aperture filter can be an active filter, such as an LCD filter, that displays different images synchronized with the direction of propagation of the light.

  • Publication number: 20190092688
Abstract: Fly ash-based geopolymer binders and activating solutions for use in forming a concrete as well as methods for forming concrete including the binders are described. The fly ash-based geopolymer binders include a combination of fly ash, silica fume, and sodium hydroxide as well as an amount of Portland cement. Concretes formed of the binders can exhibit excellent compressive strength and fuel energy characteristics as well as being more cost efficient as compared to other concretes. The inclusion of an amount of Portland cement in the binders can allow for a decrease in sodium hydroxide and silica fume content while maintaining desirable compressive strength characteristics.
