  • Patent number: 10731502
Abstract: A compressor for use in a gas turbine engine comprises a compressor rotor including blades and a disc, with a bore defined radially inwardly of the disc. A radially outer housing surrounds an outer diameter of the blades. A lower pressure tap and a higher pressure tap tap air from two distinct locations within the compressor and radially outwardly through the outer housing. A valve selectively delivers at least one of the lower pressure tap and the higher pressure tap to the bore of the disc. A control for the valve is programmed to move the valve to a position delivering the higher pressure tap at a point prior to take-off when the compressor is mounted in a gas turbine engine on an aircraft. • Patent number: 10734799
Abstract: Circuits, methods, and apparatus that may provide power supply voltages in a safe and reliable manner that meets safety and regulatory concerns and does not exceed physical limitations of cables and other circuits and components used to provide the power supply voltages. One example may provide a cable having a sufficient number of conductors to provide power without exceeding a maximum current density for the conductors. Another example may provide a cable having more than the sufficient number of conductors in order to provide an amount of redundancy. Current sense circuits may be included for one or more conductors. When an excess current is sensed, a power source in the power supply may be shut down, the power source may be disconnected from one or more conductors, or both events may occur.

  • Publication number: 20200239191
Abstract: A plant transportation system is disclosed. At a high level, the system includes specially-designed pots which include lift-fixtures, such as eyebolts, which are specially-oriented and aligned to receive poles or tines from a lifting mechanism. In this way, each of at least two tines of a lifting attachment can pass through two lift-fixtures on the pot. In this way, when the lifting attachment rises, the plant in the container remains stable and vertical. Moreover, it also allows the lifting attachment to potentially pass through and hold multiple pots. A vehicle having such a lifting attachment may then transport the plants to a planting site, or to another transportation vehicle such as a flat-bed truck.

  • Patent number: 10726497
Abstract: According to some embodiments, data is received indicative of a plurality of insurance claims. It may then be automatically determined that a first insurance claim is associated with a first type of insurance and that a second insurance claim is associated with a second type of insurance. The received data associated with the first insurance claim may be analyzed in accordance with first segmentation logic to determine a first segment classification appropriate for the first insurance claim. Similarly, the received data associated with the second insurance claim may be automatically analyzed in accordance with second segmentation logic to determine a second segment classification appropriate for the second insurance claim. Indications of the first and second segment classifications may then be transmitted (e.g., to a load balancing and assignment engine that automatically selects claim handlers for insurance claims).

  • Patent number: 10723232
Abstract: The present invention provides a dual rail track system for independently moveable carts in an industrial control environment in which upper and lower rails of a track are substantially ā€œLā€ shaped to allow upper and lower groups of rollers of a cart to orthogonally contact the upper and lower rails, respectively, to provide vertical and horizontal control of the cart while in motion along the track. The shape of the rails and arrangement of the rollers, orthogonal with respect to the rails in vertical and horizontal planes, provides an efficient support system allowing high speed movement of carts, including through turns, with only two rails and with symmetric weight distribution of the cart. Flexible members provided with respect to each roller also provide resiliency to allow the rollers to adapt to variations in the track.
