  • Patent number: 6401042
Abstract: A method for reducing noise and for deriving new data from seismic and seismic derived rock property data includes determining a rate of change and direction of rate of change of amplitudes of seismic and seismic derived rock property cubes along microlayer horizons and filtering this data long the microlayer horizons. To facilitate this determination, microlayer horizons can be locally rotated around each microlayer horizon definition point. The data determined for the microlayer horizons are sequentially organized in time whereupon a display of the microlayer horizons can be sequentially stepped through to view the output data of each microlayer horizon.

    Patent number: 6320252
Abstract: In one version, a PC card has a printed circuit board assembly (11) that is interposed between card shields (5,6). This PC card is frameless. In another version, a PC card has: card shields (103,104); a printed circuit board assembly (110) interposed between the card shields; and two interposing side frames (105, 105′).

  • Patent number: 6180228
Abstract: The present invention is an outdoor advertising or display system including a multi-layer graphic article intended for application to an outdoor surface such as concrete, asphalt and the like. The advertising system includes an imageable base layer and an image-protective surface layer that can be laminated to the base layer following imaging of the base layer. The image-protective surface layer is frictionally modified to provide an anti-skid layer for surface traffic.

  • Patent number: 6095826
Abstract: A right angle press fit connector employs a modular construction having a common terminal carrying press block that is associable with different types of shroud structures. The press block may include true positioned location structures for press fit tails. The true position structures may be integral with the press block. A cruciform shaped terminal insertion passage in the press block minimizes damage to the plating of the terminals and provides structural stiffness.

  • Patent number: 6058018
Abstract: An electronic card which includes a printed circuit board interposed between card shields having edges. Tabs on an edge of one shield engage recesses on the edge of the other shield. The jointed shields of the card provide high level of rigidity, sufficient to exceed applicable bending and torsional resistance specification. Adequate rigidity is thereby provided. Also included is an I/O connector grounded without a separate ground contact and shielded over its length. The tabs include an arcuate member having a medial oblique projection which engages a ledge of the other shield near the recess.

  • Patent number: 5923750
Abstract: In a telephone handset having an elongate housing which defines a cavity, wherein a microphone and a loudspeaker are arranged, the microphone is arranged air-tightly in a chamber of the housing by a flexible gasket. A portion of the gasket extends at least partially over the rear part of the microphone. In order to hold the microphone and the gasket under weak pressure and vibration-free in the chamber, a separate plate engages this portion. A printed circuit board arranged in the cavity can be used for this purpose. The loudspeaker can be mounted in a corresponding manner.

  • Patent number: 4505875
Abstract: A standpipe runs up from a liquid storage vessel located between the safety vessel of a nuclear reactor and the safety enclosure around it and connected by a pressure equalization line to the interior space of the safety vessel. Undesired pressure increases in the interior of the safety vessel are absorbed by pushing water out of the storage vessel up the standpipe to a discharge above the safety vessel which is still within the safety enclosure. With sufficient pressure, the liquid, which may be conveniently water, flows from the standpipe to an overflow collar at the top of the safety vessel from which it runs down over the surface of that vessel to cool it. Water that evaporates is collected on the interior wall of the safety enclosure and also percolates down to the base of the safety enclosure, from which it is pumped back to the overflow collar, from which it can flow back into the pressure vessel when the pressure inside the safety vessel of the reactor goes back to normal.

  • Patent number: 4306672
Abstract: Automatic cracking apparatus for cracking a glass plate along score lines extending across the plate. The apparatus has a vertically inclined main breaking roller where the top of the lower axial end of the roller is even with a feed conveyor and has an edge breaking roller for engaging an edge of the plate and the top of which lies above the highest point of the main breaking roller.

  • Patent number: 4057823
Abstract: A method and resulting structure for a relative humidity monitor which can be built into an integrated circuit chip. A small area on a silicon chip is made porous by anodic etching. This region is then oxidized and a metal counter electrode is deposited over part of the porous area. The surface area in the dielectric under the counter electrode is very high and because of the openness of the structure, ambient moisture can quickly diffuse into the dielectric under the electrode and adsorb onto the silicon dioxide surface. Changes in ambient humidity will then be reflected by measurable changes in capacitance or conductance of the device.
