  • Patent number: 10441736
Abstract: A respiratory mask can have a frame supporting a sealing arrangement. Various features of the frame and sealing arrangement can improve comfort and reduce the occurrence of pressure sores. The frame can include cheek supports that have a large surface area configured to spread loads over a greater area of the patient's face and therefore reduce the forces applied to the face and the occurrence of point loads. The seal can have a main body that includes a spring with a silicone skin, wherein the spring applies a substantially constant force to the face and/or nares of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20190290877
Abstract: A humidifier heater base assembly has a heater plate with a thermally conductive portion and a perimeter portion around a perimeter of the heater plate. A resilient member has an inner part attached to the perimeter portion and an outer part adapted to provide a resilient perimeter flange around at least part and preferably the whole of the perimeter portion. The resilient member fixes the heater base to the humidifier by the resilient perimeter flange such that the heater plate and the inner part can move relative to the humidifier in a direction substantially transverse to the general plane of the heater plate. At least a portion of the resilient perimeter flange remains stationary relative to the humidifier.

  • Publication number: 20190184127
Abstract: A component useable with one or more tube comprises a body engageable with one or more external surface recesses of the one or more tubes. The component has a pair of jaws extending from the body for gripping an item. The component is configured, such that, in use, in a first orientation of the body relative to the respective tube(s) recesses, the component is movable along a length of the tube(s); and, in a second orientation of the body relative to the respective tube(s) recesses, the component is resistive to movement along a length of the tube(s).

  • Publication number: 20190167935
Abstract: A patient interface includes a frame, an inflatable seal, and a deformable insert. The frame includes an outer portion, an inner portion, and an opening extending therebetween. The inflatable seal is secured to the inner portion of the frame. The inflatable seal defines an internal volume and has at least one aperture. The deformable insert includes an outer surface, an inner surface and a passageway extending therebetween. The deformable insert is positioned within the internal volume of the seal and aligned with at least a portion of the frame inner portion. The passageway is aligned with the frame opening to define a gas flow path from the frame outer portion to the at least one aperture of the seal.

  • Publication number: 20190158131
Abstract: A passive intermodulation detection system is provided to remotely identify passive intermodulation at a base station site and diagnose the type of intermodulation and location of the non-linearity that is the source of the passive intermodulation. A passive intermodulation cancelation system can generate an equivalent signal to a received interference signal and use the equivalent signal to generate an error signal. The error signal can then be used to reinforce a learning system and converge on a steady state of the interference signal to cancel other interference signals.

  • Publication number: 20190143069
Abstract: A blower unit for use as part of an integrated blower/humidification system is described. The blower unit has an outer casing, which encloses and forms part of the blower unit, the casing including an air inlet vent. The blower unit further includes a humidifier compartment for receiving a humidifier unit with a separate gases inlet and outlet, the compartment having a heater base for heating the contents of the humidifier unit. The compartment also has a blower inlet port which aligns with the humidifier unit inlet in use, the blower providing a gases path through the casing between the inlet vent and the inlet port. The blower unit also includes a fan for providing a pressurised gases stream along the gases path, and a power supply unit for powering the fan. The gases path is routed over the power supply unit in order to provide a cooling air flow.
