  • Publication number: 20220005138
Abstract: Techniques for detecting conditions at a geographic location are described. The techniques receive plural information feeds, aggregate the information according commonality of information, and analyze information from the plural information feeds according to rules. Upon detection of a rule being triggered for a particular user, the techniques produce or spawn an instruction thread that is controlled or scheduled by an instruction thread scheduler and which filters the received information from the data feeds according to the triggered rule, (and user, user location) and produce an instruction thread that continually analyzes the filtered information from the data feeds to produce operational decisions based on the information and data feeds, detect during the continual analysis changes in risk of a threat according to the triggered rule, produce response messages based on the determined change, and send the generated response messages as an alert to a system/device of a user.

  • Patent number: 10558917
Abstract: A system and method for detecting speech from occupants in a building management system is disclosed. Building management systems include fire alarm systems, building automation systems and security systems, in examples. Installed devices deployed within the building include audio transducers that detect speech from the occupants, and a management system panel processes the information from the installed devices and processes the detected speech from the occupants. In a fire alarm system, in one example, the fire alarm panel processes the detected speech from fire sensor devices and alarm notification devices as the installed devices. The fire alarm panel and/or its installed devices can identify commands from the detected speech for controlling and testing the fire alarm management system. In embodiments, Artificial Intelligence (AI) subsystems can be further added to the building management systems for control and information services.

  • Patent number: 10542020
Abstract: A home network Intrusion and Detect on Protection System (IDPS) is described. The Home Network IPDS provides a managed client solution that secures client home networks including both wired and wireless networks. The home networks can include not only computer devices and mobile devices, but also can include other connected devices such as smart devices. In embodiments, a software agent hosted on devices within the client's home network detects and scans for threats and provides remediation for the threats including blacklisting and placing compromised devices in a quarantined state. Logs created in response to threats are compared against known threats, and device reputation databases in a service network are maintained for the devices in each managed client network.

  • Patent number: 9910701
Abstract: A device, such as a constrained device that includes a processing device and memory, schedules user-defined independently executable functions to execute from a single stack common to all user-defined independently executable functions according to availability and priority of the user-defined independently executable functions relative to other user-defined independently executable functions and preempts currently running user-defined independently executable function by placing the particular user-defined independently executable function on a single stack that has register values for the currently running user-defined independently executable function.

  • Publication number: 20070211689
Abstract: In one embodiment, a network control module permits any or all of power signals, traffic signals and controller command signals to be carried on as few as one wire or cable to a first port of the network control module. In another aspect, a “peripheral array” includes a network control module (in any one of a number of different possible embodiments), with one or more peripheral devices, such as antennas, attached to or coupled with the network control module outputs. In one embodiment, RFID “smart shelving” may be fabricated in sections, with several (for example, 4, 8 or 16) antennas in each section, and as few as one cable coupling adjacent sections. Additional embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20060238307
Abstract: An inventory control system and method that tracks inventories of items with RFID tags, includes a reader unit and an intelligent station that tracks RFID tags to determine item information of items to be inventoried. The reader unit transmits and receives RF signals. The intelligent station includes a first RF antenna connected to the reader unit by a first transmission cable through a first switch, and one or more additional RF antennae connected to the reader unit by the same first transmission cable through additional switches. An inventory control processing unit receives item information from the intelligent stations to update inventory information regarding the items to be inventoried.
