    Abstract: A cordless communication and control device has a handset that includes communications equipment and remote control equipment. The communications equipment provides cordless telephone functionality, and the remote control equipment provides for remote control of one or more entertainment appliances. The handset also includes a mode controller in communication with the communications equipment and the remote control equipment. The mode controller provides at least one convenience mode. When a convenience mode is active, the mode controller responds to detection of an incoming call by automatically limiting utilization of the communications equipment and/or one or more entertainment appliances, based on the active convenience mode. In a first embodiment, the cordless communication and control device automatically limits the utilization by automatically preventing the communications equipment from producing an audible indication of the incoming call.

    Abstract: A method and meeting scheduler are provided for automated meeting insertion and rescheduling for busy calendars. An electronic calendar meeting scheduling program stores meeting automation properties defined for each scheduled meeting. The electronic calendar meeting scheduling program stores meeting attendee automation properties defined for each attendee of each scheduled meeting. The electronic calendar meeting scheduling program utilizes the stored meeting automation properties and the stored meeting attendee automation properties to calculate a conflict score and action list for each potential time block for automated meeting insertion and rescheduling. The calculated conflict score and action list for each potential time block for rescheduling a meeting are based upon multiple factors including a move score, a leave early score, and a shorten meeting score. The action list includes an entry for each meeting altered for automated meeting insertion and rescheduling.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, system, and program product for utilizing metawords to find electronic documents. According to the method of the present invention, a user specifies an initial search expression that includes at least one metaword. It is determined that the at least one metaword corresponds to a boolean expression, and, in response, an expanded search expression is generated. The expanded search expression includes the boolean expression in lieu of the at least one metaword, such that the expanded search expression is utilized in lieu of the initial search expression to find the electronic documents. In an illustrative embodiment, the determining step includes the step of determining that one or more terms and a count qualifier are associated with the at least one metaword. The count qualifier specifies a threshold number of occurrences of the one or more terms within a single electronic document.

    Abstract: A method, system, and program product for generating a window scroll-bar. In the preferred embodiment, a controller displays the window scroll-bar on a display screen. The window scroll-bar contains sections associated with respective windows on the display. The window scroll-bar also contains a slider, which moves within a section and between sections. As the slider moves within a particular section, the window associated with that section moves on the display toward the nearest boundary of the display. Thus, by moving the window scroll-bar slider, the user can move overlapping windows out of the way and find the window of interest.

    Abstract: A computer system, program product and method that monitor the threads executing within a region of a computer program during debugging. This region may be a plurality of nonadjacent sections of code, each with defined entry and exit addresses identified by control points. Some or all threads may be halted depending on a predetermined criteria related to threads of interest or the number of threads executing in the region. Of special interest is monitoring for a thread count so that timing errors may be analyzed for when some plurality of threads simultaneously execute within the region. Moreover, in the illustrative embodiment, control points are implemented for thread monitoring in a manner similar to a break point, utilizing a break point table to determine whether a system exception is due to a break point or to a thread monitor control point. If the latter, program execution continues after storing the thread identifier in a record for the thread monitor control point in the break point table.

The association may be based upon directional information which is provided by the vehicle. A control signal is transmitted to the vehicle and the hazard lights of the vehicle are automatically activated in response to receipt of that control signal. Navigational assistance can also be presented to the vehicle.

    Abstract: A method for resolving meeting conflicts for an electronic calendar application is disclosed. After receiving a request for setting a first meeting schedule for a first meeting, an electronic calendar application sets a first meeting schedule and a first meeting priority number associated with the first meeting. In response to a request to set a second meeting schedule for a second meeting, and the second meeting schedule conflicts with the first meeting schedule, the electronic calendar application determines whether a second meeting priority number associated with the second meeting is higher than the first meeting priority number associated with the first meeting. If the second meeting priority number is determined to be higher than the first meeting priority number, then the electronic calendar application overrides the first meeting schedule with the second meeting schedule.

In a preferred embodiment, the threshold rank is the rank of a RunTo function, and the ranked breakpoints only halt execution of the computer program if their rank is higher than the threshold rank of the RunTo function. The present invention thus provides a mechanism for ignoring some or all breakpoints in a computer program when performing debugger functions, such as a RunTo function.

Illustratively, each breakpoint encounter may have been automatically tracked prior to the user's specification of N. In another embodiment, a range in which the breakpoint is located is specified. The hit count is incremented for each encounter of the breakpoint in the range and reset each time the range is entered.
