Patent number: 11171923Abstract: Analytics are collected to monitor and report data usage of enterprise applications running on a mobile device. A second line service agent and an analytics agent assure that the mobile device is configured for analytics collection. Once configured, cellular data usage of applications that are monitored by the analytics engine are detected and a VPN connection is established for routing the communications between the monitored app an a public website. If the mobile device switches to WiFi usage, the analytics agent disconnects the VPN connection and routes data directly to the public website. Thus, data usage of the monitored applications can be reported by the VPN gateway.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2020Date of Patent: November 9, 2021Assignee: Movius Interactive CoporationInventors: Sandeep Kakumanu, Javier Solis Garcia, George Backhaus, Amit Modi, Jon Plotky, Paul Rubenstein

Publication number: 20210329115Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for populating a local second line service (“SLS”) database in a telecommunications device (“TD”). The local SLS database is for use by an SLS application that provides a second line service to the user of the TD. To populate the local SLS database, historical data associated with prior use of the TD is mined for relevant information. Relevant information may include, for example, a primary phone number associated with other contact data. Relevant information is then used to populate the local SLS database. The local SLS database is then updated with a relationship number(s) in association with the relevant information. The relationship number enables the SLS application to direct a telecommunication to the primary number via a remote SLS platform.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2021Publication date: October 21, 2021Inventors: George Backhaus, Jignesh Gandhi, Julio Gonzalez, John Green, Philip Lowman, Paul Rubenstein, Mike Speanburg

Publication number: 20200128366Abstract: A method for routing calls between a third party telecommunications device (“TD”) and a subscriber TD associated with a primary service and a second line service (“SLS”) involves associating the SLS number of the subscriber, the primary number of the subscriber and the primary number of a third party via a common relationship number. Calls directed from a third party to the SLS number of a subscriber are routed to an SLS platform and redirected to the subscriber TD. Calls directed from the subscriber TD to the third party use the relationship number to route the call to the SLS platform. The combination of the primary service number and the relationship number identifies the third party number for call completion. Calls can be directed to and from an SLS number of a subscriber TD using a combination of protocols such as ISUP, CAP and SIP.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2019Publication date: April 23, 2020Inventors: George Backhaus, Jignesh Gandhi, Julio Gonzalez, John Green, Philip Lowman, Paul Rubenstein, Mike Speanburg

Patent number: 10616391Abstract: A method and system for providing a second line service (“SLS”) feature to a subscriber using a telecommunications device (“TD”) which includes receiving at a switch on the network of the subscriber's primary service provider a communication made up of a trigger and a directory number. When the communication is received at the primary service provider's switch, the switch parses the communication and detects the trigger. Once the switch has received the communication, the switch additionally transmits a query message to a SLS platform that manages the SLS feature. As a result of the switch's query message transmission, the switch receives a reply to the query message from the SLS platform. Based at least in part on the reply to the query message, the switch can route the communication such that the switch connects one or multiple voice channel circuit between the subscriber's TD and the terminating TD.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2019Date of Patent: April 7, 2020Assignee: Movius Interactive CorporationInventors: George Backhaus, Philip Lowman, Jingnesh Gandhi, Julio Gonzalez, John Green, Paul Rubenstein, Mike Speanburg
