  • Publication number: 20250100653
Abstract: A High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) marine boom includes an elongated generally cylindrical shell including inner and outer layers formed from HDPE with the same formulation. The inner layer includes at least 2% carbon black by mass and the outer layer does not include carbon black. The outer layer includes a colorant with ultraviolet stabilizers and the inner layer does not include the colorant. The inner layer is thicker than the outer layer and they have been coextruded to form a unitary body. First and second caps, each including a radially extending circumferential annular flange, formed from the same material as the outer layer are fusion welded to the shell across the full thickness and around a full circumference of first ends and second ends of the shell and form a watertight seal. A floatation billet is in the shell. A lug plate for the HDPE marine boom is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20250093608
Abstract: A fiber optic cassette includes a body defining a front and an opposite rear. A cable entry location, such as a multi-fiber connector, is defined on the body for a cable to enter the cassette, wherein a plurality of optical fibers from the cable extend into the cassette and form terminations at one or more single or multi-fiber connectors adjacent the front of the body. A flexible substrate is positioned between the cable entry location and the connectors adjacent the front of the body, the flexible substrate rigidly supporting the plurality of optical fibers. Each of the connectors adjacent the front of the body includes a ferrule. Dark fibers can be provided if not all fiber locations are used in the multi-fiber connectors. Multiple flexible substrates can be used with one or more multi-fiber connectors.

  • Publication number: 20250073021
Abstract: Prosthetic heart valves may be delivered to a targeted native heart valve site via one or more delivery catheters. In some embodiments, the prosthetic heart valve includes structural features that securely anchor the prosthetic heart valve to the anatomy at the site of the native heart valve. Such structural features can provide robust migration resistance. In addition, the prosthetic heart valves can include structural features that improve sealing between the prosthetic valve and native valve anatomy to mitigate paravalvular leakage. In particular implementations, the prosthetic heart valves occupy a small delivery profile, thereby facilitating a smaller delivery catheter system for advancement to the heart. Some delivery catheter systems can include a curved inner catheter to facilitate deployment of the prosthetic heart valve to a native tricuspid valve site via a superior vena cava or inferior vena cava.
