    Abstract: The invention concerns the joining of webs in adjacent cassettes, particularly as a supply for a ticket issuing machine. A web supply system comprises a plurality of cassettes (12) each containing a fan folded web (13) of material, each cassette having a common web exit and web entrance, the cassettes being arranged side by side and the leading end of a first of the webs being arranged to pass through the exit of that cassette to an operating/issuing machine and the trailing end (19) of the web of each cassette (except the last) extending through the entrance of that cassette and being joined to the leading end (19a) of the web from the next adjacent cassette, the web extending in a loop between adjacent cassettes so that the web from all the cassettes can be supplied as a continuous web to the processing/issuing machine.

    Abstract: This invention has reference to a ticket issuing machine including a keyboard (3) to enter into the machine information about a ticket to be issued, a printer (5) to print out ticket information on a ticket, store circuits (15, 20, 21) for storing information about tickets being issued and with a circuit for alternating the information stored in the store circuits to control the operation of the printer 1. The keyboard 3 comprises a plurality of keys (3a) at least some of which bear more than one identification and that there are provided selection circuits capable of identifying which of the identifications is relevant to the particular syntax operation of the ticket machine.

    Abstract: This invention is concerned with a ticket issuing machine system including a keyboard 6 to enter into the machine details of a ticket to be issued a printer 1 to print out ticket information on the ticket depending upon the data entered into the keyboard and means 8 for storing information about the tickets issued by the machine and which includes a store circuit board module 12 capable of storing data about the tickets issued and which is readily capable of being inserted into and removed from the ticket issuing machine to have the details of the tickets issued transferred to an exterior store. The machine includes optical emitting means 17, 20 and optical responsive means 8, 19 to enable signals to be passed.

    Abstract: A portable ticket issuing system comprises a portable electric ticket issuing machine including a keyboard and electric power means for supplying power to the ticket issuing machine, in which the power means comprises a battery unit having a battery casing separate from the ticket issuing machine casing, and including a flexible cable means for electrically connecting the battery and ticket issuing machine, and including a belt support means for mounting the battery and its casing on an operator away from his front and without the operator holding it manually and further support means for mounting the ticket issuing machine on the operator away from his front in a non-operating position where it is located at the operator's side resting on his thigh and so that it allows the ticket issuing machine to be readily moved to an operating position in front of the operator without moving the battery unit and preferably without detaching it from the belt.
