Abstract: A health monitor circuit for an electric machine includes a plurality of sensors, a rectifier, a memory device, and a microprocessor. The plurality of sensors includes a current transformer configured to be electromagnetically coupled to an electrical conductor that feeds a stator winding of the electric machine. The rectifier is coupled to the current transformer and is configured to convert an AC signal generated by the current transformer to a DC signal to supply power for the health monitor circuit. The microprocessor is coupled to the memory device and the plurality of sensors. The microprocessor is configured to periodically collect a stator current measurement from the current transformer and write the stator current measurement to the memory device.

Abstract: Systems and methods provided for presenting supplemental content in an augmented reality environment where an object within a field of view of an augmented reality device of a user is identified and processed to detect a reference related to a participant in an event. A user profile or user social network is searched to identify a message from the user about the participant. The message may be combined with the object in the augmented reality field of view.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing subscriptions. A media guidance application obtaining viewing patterns of a subscriber and determining a first and second media package of interest to the subscriber. A first and second release schedule are obtained related to media content in the first and second media packages. The media guidance application predicts a first viewing impact of the first subscription and a second viewing impact of the second subscription, for the upcoming time period, wherein the viewing impact indicates a total predicted amount of time spent viewing the media packages in the upcoming time period. An available amount of time for viewing media in the upcoming time period is also determined. The media guidance application generates a subscription recommendation for the upcoming time period based on the first viewing impact, second viewing impact, and available amount of time for viewing media in the upcoming time period.

Abstract: A tracking and secure retrieval system for an undelivered item. When a letter or package cannot be delivered a reusable token, with unique identifier, is scanned with a hand-held scanner. The reusable token is left at the recipients address in lieu of the item to be delivered. Scanned data includes the unique identifier of the reusable token, the GPS location of the recipients address, time and date stamp data. Information concerning the undelivered item like its tracking history is also stored and made available. This data is processed to generate a unique identification code that is associated with the item at the GPS location. A wireless communication device in the hand-held scanner transmits the unique identification code to a remote server which creates a secure data file. An automatic locker releases the undelivered item when presented with the reusable token which is then cancelled for use on a subsequent occasion.

Abstract: A method for generating and maintaining hierarchical tags with community-based ratings is provided. Tags for media streams are organized into a hierarchical format. Users may select tags from the hierarchical tag database that describes a particular multimedia content. If the user is unable to locate a desired tag, the user may submit a new tag. Upon submission of the new tag, a librarian approves the tag before storing and placing the tag in the hierarchical tag database. Users are also able to rate the quality of the association between the tag and the multimedia content. If a tag is rated low, the tag may be removed from the hierarchical tag database. If the tag is rated highly, display of the tag in a list of tags becomes more prominent.

The autonomous rail vehicle also includes a trailer that is coupled with the one or more motive systems. The trailer includes surfaces defining a cavity that can receive a cargo container. The trailer includes powered footing assemblies that are controlled by the control unit of the one or more motive systems. The powered footing assemblies are controlled to move between a first position and a second position to change a vertical position of the trailer relative to a position of the motive systems.

Abstract: Securing digital assets in a vault that interfaces with multiple different third-party wallets to store keys/mnemonics. The vault interface accepts input from multiple different party wallets to combine multiple encryptions and secure storage techniques. Numerous cryptographic mechanisms are employed to securely pull a mnemonic phrase from a third-party wallet and into an institution's vault. A customer's mnemonic phrase is securely transported from a personal wallet into a secured institution's encrypted vault using the power of HSM to encrypt and decrypt a customer's mnemonic phrase securely.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for presenting menus to DVR users and users of other media playback devices are described. After a DVR (or other media device) has finished playing a recorded television program (or other content), or in response to other specified events, the DVR presents a screen which comprises a menu. In addition to or in alternative to “save” and “delete” options, the menu comprises one or more options. Each of these other options may correspond to a separate item. For example, a user's selection of such an option may cause the DVR to display or play certain content on the user's television set. Additionally, or alternatively, these other options, when selected by a user, may cause the DVR to display a user interface through which the user can actually interact with content, such as an item that was featured or referenced in the television program that the user was just watching.

Abstract: A device is specified for producing a flight plan for lightweight aircraft. The device includes a first interface, a second interface, and a processing unit. The first interface is configured to receive aircraft data relating to the lightweight aircraft, wherein the aircraft data at least contain flight properties and functions of the lightweight aircraft. The second interface is configured to receive weather data from a weather information source, wherein the weather data contain at least weather data from the past and contain at least air movements in an altitude profile between a maximum altitude of the lightweight aircraft and the Earth's surface. The processing unit is configured to compare the aircraft data to the weather data and to ascertain whether the lightweight aircraft is manoeuvrable in the case of the received weather data and on the basis of the aircraft data.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for recognizing and synchronizing to in-band data at a multimedia device is provided. A content stream includes in-band data. The in-band data is processed and in-band data pattern data associated with the content stream are created. Metadata are attached to the event identification data. The event identification data are provided to multimedia devices which receive broadcasted multimedia content streams containing video programs with in-band data. The in-band data are processed and compared to the event identification data. If a match occurs, the multimedia device uses the metadata to perform specified actions.
