  • Publication number: 20080302089
Abstract: A system is disclosed for dispensing a reactant into an exhaust stream. The system dispenses a mixture of reactant and pressurized air into the exhaust stream. This system includes a mixing manifold that mounts to an exhaust pipe that carries the exhaust stream. The system also includes a metering device remotely mounted from the mixing manifold.

  • Publication number: 20080023205
Abstract: The invention concerns a system or a method for maintaining zonal isolation in a wellbore. According to the invention, the system comprises, at a specific location along said wellbore, a sealing element, said sealing element being able to deform both during and after placement and is maintained after placement under compression through a pressurising fluid or by confinement in a volume.

  • Publication number: 20060101810
Abstract: A system is disclosed for dispensing fuel into the transient flow of an exhaust system to control exhaust emissions. A controller initiates the delivery of fuel into the exhaust when an emissions control device, such as a diesel particulate filter, requires increased exhaust temperatures for regeneration. In operation, pressurized fuel and pressurized air are supplied to a fuel delivery device, wherein a fuel injector pre-mixes fuel with air. The fuel-air mixture is then dispensed into the exhaust flow through a nozzle, causing a rapid pressure drop in the mixture that results in the pressurized air expanding rapidly, breaking the fuel spray into fine particles.

  • Publication number: 20050167159
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of drilling a hydrocarbon well using a drillstring adapted to provide a continuous or quasi-continuous contact with the wall of the well such that at least of section the well a compacting force is exerted on filter cake deposited thereon; circulating a drilling mud through the borehole during the drilling operation such that a filter cake is deposited on the borehole wall by the drilling mud, the filter cake being compacted by contact with the drillstring, including, before the drilling mud enters the borehole a conditioning additive in the drilling mud, the additive conditioning the filter cake upon the contact with the drillstring to increase the yield strength of the filter cake.

  • Patent number: 6017694
Abstract: Methods of screening for modulators of respiratory syncytial virus matrix protein interaction are described. A host cell carrying a nucleic acid sequence encoding RSV matrix protein or fragments of RSV matrix protein which can bind to RSV matrix protein is cultured and the RSV matrix protein or RSV fragments are expressed. The interaction of the expressed RSV matrix protein or fragments is measured. A test sample is then added to the expressed RSV matrix protein or fragments and the effect of the test sample on RSV matrix protein interaction is measured.
