  • Patent number: 12361277
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more encoding operations to use for encoding a compressed dataset, the one or more encoding operations including a differential encoding operation, or an entropy encoding operation, or both. In some examples, using a neural network, the UE may first encode a dataset based on an additional encoding operation to generate a compressed dataset and then quantize the compressed dataset encoded based on the additional encoding operation. Subsequently, after the dataset has been initially encoded and then quantized, the UE may use the indication of the one or more encoding operations to further encode and compress the dataset. The UE may then transmit the dataset to a second device based on the one or more encoding operations.

  • Publication number: 20250219887
Abstract: Certain embodiments disclosed herein reduce or eliminate a communication bottleneck at the storage manager by reducing communication with the storage manager while maintaining functionality of an information management system. In some implementations, a client obtains information for enabling a secondary storage job (e.g., a backup or restore) from a storage manager and stores the information (which may be referred to as job metadata) in a local cache. The client may then reuse the job metadata for multiple storage jobs reducing the frequency of communication with the storage manager. When a configuration of the information management system changes, or the availability of resources changes, the storage manager can push updates to the job metadata to the clients. Further, a client can periodically request updated job metadata from the storage manager ensuring that the client does not rely on out-of-date job metadata.

  • Patent number: 12340210
Abstract: Systems and methods provide multi-channel transmission of a firmware image to a hardware component of an IHS (Information Handling System), where the firmware image is transmitted by a remote access controller of the IHS that supports remote management of the IHS. Upon a firmware being initiated, the remote access controller determines an available bandwidth of a first signaling pathway of the hardware component and also determines an available bandwidth of a second signaling pathway of the hardware component. One portion of the firmware image is transmitted to the hardware component using the first signaling pathway, where a size of that portion is selected based on the available bandwidth of the first signaling pathway. Another portion of the firmware image is transmitted to the hardware component using the second signaling pathway, where a size of that portion is selected based on the available bandwidth of the second signaling pathway.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include techniques for decentralizing feature toggles. In certain embodiments, feature toggles are generated for features across a plurality of software systems. The feature toggles include annotations specifying dependencies across the plurality of software systems. The annotated feature toggles are stored in a central repository accessible by the plurality of software systems. When a feature toggle is enabled, feature toggles across the systems may be retrieved from the repository and analyzed by an LLM to determine which feature toggles may need to be updated to prevent a software error.

  • Patent number: 12326775
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for self-isolation of power-management integrated circuits (PMICs) of memory modules under and in response to fault conditions. In an embodiment, a PMIC is operably engaged with a memory module that is operably engaged with a platform. The memory module includes a non-volatile-memory block having a power supply controlled by the PMIC. The PMIC has a critical-fault signal pin that can be asserted to shut down the platform. The PMIC determines whether at least one critical fault occurred during a prior cycle, and also determines whether a critical fault occurs during a bootup sequence during a current cycle. Based on determining that a prior-cycle critical fault occurred and that a critical fault occurs during the bootup sequence, the PMIC sets a critical-fault indicator corresponding to the current critical fault; powers down the power supply; and does not assert the critical-fault signal pin.

  • Publication number: 20250150896
Abstract: Some examples of the techniques described herein may provide encoding or decoding approaches to generate vectors that meet an orthogonality condition in vector compression procedures (e.g., vector compression or decompression). Encoder layers (e.g., neural network layers) on the encode side may generate orthogonal compressed vectors or decoder layers (e.g., neural network layers) on the decode side may generate orthogonal decompressed vectors. For instance, a neural network layer may be trained to generate a compressed or decompressed vector that satisfies an orthogonality condition relative to one or more previously compressed or decompressed vectors in accordance with a dependency order or a compression sequence. An indication of the dependency order may be communicated between the encode side and the decode side to order encoder or decoder layers (e.g., to execute encoder or decoder layers in the compression sequence) to produce compressed or decompressed vectors that satisfy an orthogonality condition.
