  • Patent number: 9297034
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the detection and/or quantification of Streptococcus pneumoniae, a Gram-positive bacteria that is an important human pathogen, in an isolated biological sample, through magneto-amperometric biosensors, comprising detecting fragments of lytA gene of the microorganism, amplified through PCR, preferably asymmetric PCR or direct asymmetric PCR, by hybridization thereof to a specific probe fully complementary to a region of the amplified fragment. Furthermore, the present invention also relates to the use of primers SEQ ID NO: 3 and 4 together with probes SEQ ID NO: 1 and/or SEQ ID NO: 2 to perform the detection. The biosensor developed to detect S. pneumoniae can be applied to different types of clinical samples from patients infected with this bacterium or other related bacteria. Preferably the clinical sample is an isolated biological fluid such as blood, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva or urine.

  • Patent number: 9260327
Abstract: It comprises at least one first lower main deposit (1) arranged at a lower level and at least one second upper main deposit (2) arranged at an upper level, both containing polluted water to be purified, while at the same time the bottom of the large area main deposits (1-2) are communicated with each other through at least one intermediate pipe (3) through which the polluted water is circulated in both directions successively and alternatively under turbulent regime. From the bottom of the main deposits (1-2) the pollutants will be removed or purged to a cavity (9) that receives part of the water together with a high concentration of pollutants decanted and precipitated at the bottom of said main deposits (1-2), said pollutants being treated and separated in that cavity (9).

  • Patent number: 8824340
Abstract: It is provided a method for handling policy and charging information, PCI, relating to a user, wherein the method is carried out in a communications network comprising a first and a second site at least (S1, S2). Each of these sites comprises at least a policy and charging rules, PCR, network entity. The method comprises sending (SI1O) from a first network entity of a first site (110; AF-1; PCEF-1) to a PCR network entity of said first site (PCRF-1) a request to obtain PCI dependent on a user profile; generating—if it is determined that said user profile is not accessible at the first site (PCRF-1)—a redirection message comprising an identity of the PCR network entity of the first site (PCRF-1); forwarding said redirection message to a PCR network entity of said second site (PCRF-2).
